  Great hotel for the money!

  Not the most salubrious of hotels, but the location, staff, attention, and service are superb. This was our third visit, and they were kind enough to give us the room we'd had before. Value for money 5/5. Would stay again in an instant. Perfect!   Budget hotel, centrally located

  We were allocated room 804 which is on the top floor with the small window in the bedroom opening out onto the rear of a multitude of buildings. This can be a tad noisy and obviously there is no view to speak of but this wasn't an issue for 1 night. The room is exceptionally small with barely enough room to walk around the bed and subsequently only one bedside table which is annoying, no socket for charging electronics or a place to put a drink, book etc. In fact there is a distinct lack of available power points. There is a fridge which is a welcome addition and a fan as there is no air con which in a room this small would be a major issue in the summer months. The bed was very comfortable and the one pillow acceptable but two would have made for a better sleep. The bathroom is vast in comparison to the bedroom and has a powerful shower with toiletries provided.Breakfast is at the sister hotel, Adonis Plaza approximately 50 metres across the plaza. We weren't expecting much based on previous reviews but were very pleasantly surprised. The lady who was very friendly greeted you at the door with a tray and cutlery and indicated where the various food items were. A good choice of cereals, bread, pastries, fruit, yogurts and several cooked items were available, as was arroz con leche, a welcome addition for us. The coffee, although from a machine was far better than some I've had in other hotels, I had 2 cortado and the juice was agreeable too.All in all for a budget hotel it ticks the boxes, with it's central location a real bonus.

  If I could a minus I would: came in at 10 amtried to explain we have a reservation for this evening but can I leave bag here.Receptionist: blank aggressive look, yes leave bag room not ready come back later. Ok, apart from no greeting bad attitude zero customer service skills mission accomplished: bag left. Came back at website check in time after shopping & sight seeing all day: can we check in: No, room not ready. Come back 20 minutes; Ok we can do that go for drink come back in 20/30 minutes.Guess what; can we check in: no room not ready! By now I am getting upset with Miss lack of any customer service skills and said right ok let’s start again me customer you receptionist it’s now well gone the official check in time, how long do you want us to go for? I don’t know the cleaner is in room!! Really! Employers: check CCTV I am not making this up.Eventually after battle after battle to get into our room apart from great location, room was beyond dated not clean at all, awful place, I wouldn’t put a dog in it pay a little bit more and be treated with respect you deserve, horrible experience.Luckily she wasn’t there on check out, a much more approachable pleasant young man.

  Worst Hotel Experience

  I booked through Booking for a night with my two kids,have been calling all day to confirm my booking which they could not find.When I arrive in the hotel still no sight of my booking and unhelpful receptionist .After lots of arguments he throws me a key to room with a 3 single beds with a view of wall,looks like prison ,had to go back explain that I didn't paid for that and the answer was "What is the diference whit this room and the one I purchased in Booking???!!!!Horible Staff Recepción Hotel Plaza, Dueño at Hotel Adonis Capital, responded to this review Dear Mr. Nelenas,Thank you very much for your assessment.   Very top of the 2 star hotels

  Wonderful little hotel right in the heart of a Santa Cruz serving a lovely buffet breakfast with an unbeatable view of the harbour and mountains in the breakfast room. You are a few footsteps away from everything. Bed and bathroom bigger than most 2 star hotels but bring you own shampoo. Better than a lot of expensive 3 star hotels.
