    Easter break, 3rd time returning.

    rating20 Apr 2026

Just returned back from our 3rd visit to Aguamar. As we previously found, rooms were perfect for us. Reception staff, cleaners and bar staff friendly. The only staff member I would comment was the life guard who sits in the hut around the pool all day, from where he sits he mustn't be able to see the children's pool. There was a cover on Saturday and Sunday, he often walked around the pool checking the areas and speaking to families. We still noticed people waiting around the pool for the beds to be put out, this wasn't required as there's plenty beds for everyone. Aguamar is in a perfect location for the beach, restaurants and bars. Will certainly return again.

    Fantastic quality for the price

    rating17 Apr 2026

Going to try and keep this as short and sweet as possible but overall we have really enjoyed our stay here (minus the scottish family constantly arguing above us and flicking cigarette ash and emptying their loose hair extensions onto our balcony but that is not any fault of the hotel)All rooms are pool facing which is always a plus and there is a play area for the kids on the first floor in the middle block, right outside our door.Living rooms and main bedroom have fantastic ceiling fans and the new rainfall showers are lovely (not sure if these are in all rooms)I have seen spa treatments and mini golf advertised to use for a fee but not used them myself so cant comment on those.Kitchens have a kettle, toaster, fridge with small freezer, cooking facilities and everything youd need if you are self catering. We are half board and the food is VERY basic and not much choice which was one of the reasons i gave it a 4 star. Also if you take your own water bottles in instead of buying the man who works there had some very awkward words with those families which im sure made them feel uncomfortable, he insists you pay, which i do fully understand but there are maybe better ways of communicating this to families instead of embarrassing them. The ladies who work there however were very polite and patient with people. The other reason is having to pay for wifi. I paid for my son and my dad to have wifi for 10 days (you have to pay per device) and it came to about 35 euros which is fine for us but not something i was expecting to pay for. If you have a few kids and adults all wanting it youre going to be paying out a lot! Not good if youre here on a budget. We never had an issue getting sunbeds near the pool but if you want cussions or umbrealla you will also be charged for that. The pool area is great until you get a bunch of teenagers or adults playing with a ball then the kids end up getting pushed out or hit with the ball. The life guard has absolutely no interest in his job. Just sat in the sunbed cussion shed and played his phone all day. One day i asked him for a sunbed and i got a very inconvenient sigh, an awkward pause and then got up. I feel like he wanted me to do it myself so didnt bother asking him after that. The women i have spoken to at reception are very nice and helpful and have good english. The first shops you see outside the hotel are fine for convenience but there is a much better supermarket a short walk the other way as we have only just found. Walk through the carpark on the side of the hotel, down the steps into the next carpark, youll see some bars and restaurants and its on the end of those near the bus stops. Much nicer shop and has a lovely fresh bakery in it!Overall i would definitely stay again but would probably go self catering due to all the choices of restaurants, cafes and shop choices so close by (even a fish and chip shop right outside the hotel!)

    DO NOT GO HALF BOARD

    rating08 Apr 2026

We stayed first week of April 2026. We had booked half board. If we were to come back, it would be room only. The evening meal side of it was terrible. We were unable to eat anything from the buffet on 5 nights, and ate out instead. The options were limited, and anything we did finally eat, was just ok, as in Pork Steaks one night and Meat Balls another night. However, 2 night later, the meatballs were back on the menu as deep fried meat balls. Disgusting. The buffet hot meal was on a hot table about 6ft by 3 ft, that was it.They had a label for chicken in a sauce, so i put some on my plate, turned out it was fish, which i hate. Imagine i had allergies to fish. Labels randomly put on the shelf above, not relating to what was on offer. Beef stew another night we walked out, as it was all fat, no meat. The breakfast was typical streaky bacon, eggs, beans etc, but also chips at breakfast!! The bacon was the cheapest cuts possible, mainly all fat.The male waiter, who i imagined was a manager was abrupt, always looked angry and just rude.We had been out on a full day trip, and had been dropped off at the hotel at dinner time. We had bottled water with us, and we entered the dining area, and he pounced on us telling us to get out, because of the water we had had not been bought from the hotel. After a bit of an argue, he was happy for us to put the bottles in our bag, and we had to order drinks from him. Very rude, not a people person. He also seemed to bully the young waitress that worked there, always shouting at her in front of all the guests. No need, if he has an issue with her, take her aside away from guests. It seems that the food budget is very low per person, so dont take any food option, go room only. You pay for EVERYTHING here. Wifi is a charge, a parasol is a charge, a cushion for the sun bed 3 euros a day. Mini Golf is a charge. You do get free wifi at the pool, but its not worth it, i done a speed test, 0.5mbps maximum. Not even 1mbps. On the positives, the rooms were clean, but dated, the beds were comfy, no aches or pains when we got up.No aircon, only ceiling fans, but was fine.No noise from outside or neighbouring rooms. They do have a luggage room and shower room for you to use, if you are a late flight home. Check out is 12pm.I would probably come back to this hotel if its refubished, on a room only basis, as it was clean and comfortable. But avoid the food, it is that bad. , Director General at Apartamentos Aguamar, responded to this review Dear Steven,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your recent stay. Basic

    rating28 Mar 2026

Basic apartment block.majority of staff very friendly and helpful.rooms are little bit outdated, the sofa in lounge area creaked with any pressure, would feel sorry for occupants downstairs.as a couple we were given a room right outside the children’s play area so we woken up most mornings at 7:45, common sense would be to allocate families with children by play area not couples.food at breakfast and dinner was at best below average. majority was cold, some was tepid. at breakfast only by heating the baked beans in the microwave was a guarantee that the food was hot.when new food arrived it was once with the cold food so basically just rendered it cold again. and customers are charged 12 euros for breakfast and 16 euros for dinner each .the weather wasn’t brilliant for the week but managed to get a few hours by the pool, but pool person was more interested in straightening loungers than addressing the multiple people vaping by the pool.didn’t have a drink at poolside bar as it was cheaper to go to one of the 5/6 bars 1 min across the road.the additional costs not clearly published are :-free wifi only by pool bar, otherwise you have to pay, sun umbrellas are extra. cushions for sun loungers are extra . do if you had good weather and wanted wifi for 2 umbrella and cushions then it’s about an extra 100 euros for a week.i used the wifi at bars a minute away.would i stay here again -yes, as self catering only, you can get better food at local places for breakfast and evening meals. , Director General at Apartamentos Aguamar, responded to this review Dear Michael,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay.
