  Golf del Sur - we had a lovely stay November 2025

  Arrived around 9.30pm after a short taxi ride (only 17 euros), staying in a privately owned apartment on 4th floor. Our block was the one accessed from the road on the one-way system and the main bus routes which was very handy.Our only problem was accessing the apartment on arrival as our instructions for the key box and separate digital access system were incomplete. Unbeknown to us at the time, all our data roaming on our mobiles was used up trying to contact people at home who had the owner's phone number. It got to 12.00am and we were still unable to get in, but luckily we bumped into 2 British ladies from the opposite block, and used to these systems, who came and tried but were also unsuccessful. One of them offered us a bed for the night which was a godsend. The next morning, because they had roaming allowances, they liaised with the owner and got us in!We must say that our block and apartment were fine - there was no noise or rowdiness, lifts worked & were clean, corridors were clean and the apartment was the same. The pool area seemed to be clean, though we didn't use it. We loved watching the planes coming in past our balcony, but only just above, especially at night.Overall, it being my 1st time at Golf del Sur, I enjoyed the week. I like walking and there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants and a little centre, San Blas, just 20 minutes walk away.

  Don't book this resort if you wish an enjoyable holiday - dismal

  Only 24 hours before we left we were informed that 2 out of the 3 pools were not in use being under "repair" - giving us no chance to cancel and find a new accommodation. Given the pool area is a very important part of our holiday this was disappointing to say the least. This necessitated our having to spend additional sums to venture to other resorts to get any enjoyment on our holiday.However this was only the start of of very poor experience with the "resort".Yes two of the pools were closed and this was obviously not a recent event. The remaining pool was not only tiny but was never cleaned and was full of dirt. The maximum of 14 beds at this pool were hard white plastic, uncomfortable with no brollies for shade. Access was by going down stairs to then walk up more stairs - the ideal access from the bar area was locked off by a gate.The whole resort was in a very very delapidated state, worn paintwork, wires hanging everywhere, areas closed off and very dirty, corridor lights not working, smell of urine in places (multitude of dogs in the complex which seems to be more of a residential type) a bar-b-que area which has neither been used or cleaned in a long time.The was no attendance at the "reception" area, despite going several times, and the toilet in this area has no lock on it. The beds around what would have been the main pool were all hard white plastic and not a brolly in sight.We stayed in the Estrella apartment which was well appointed - however the infestation of cockroaches rendered the kitchen unusable as you returned to the horror show of them running about work surfaces, drawers, cupboards. This again cost money in having to dine out instead of self catering as we had booked. I have to add i dont believe this was confined to this property as the smell of insect spray permeated from other properties.All in all my advise is do not book this resort if you are looking for a relaxed, enjoyable, beastie free holiday

  Very nice and relaxing place,newly reconstructed, new paintings in the reception and hallways, new beach just few meters from the place in progress. Some apartements with sea view. I enjoyed very much. Supermarket in the house. Some restaurants and bars as well

  !!! WATCH OUT PEOPLE!!!I have spent three weeks there with my wife and 5 year old child from 15th of December 2021 till Januasr 2020 and would advise tourists not to rent an apartment in this place. It is a prefabricated building, which was probably built in 70s. Repair work still takes place in the apartment units often after 10pm. The pool is not heated and according to the cafe owner on the first floor has not been cleaned for two years. Internet is not available. The airport is 10 kilometers away and every 5 minutes you could hear another plane flying over. We encountered criminal energy. The owner of the apartment, who is from Hungary and named Erica Peter Iris, charged 1.200 Euro rent and 1000 Euro deposit for the three weeks. She refused a bank transfer and insisted on receiving everything in cash. In return she offered us a 2 room apartment with a nice pool, security, internet in a luxury golf resort. The photos of the beautiful white houses were made but from the balcony and showing the houses opposite and not the shabby greenpar building. The flat has just one room! When we asked for compensation, she offered 200 Euro, which we never got. She also tried to keep the 1000 euro deposit, because she allegedly damaged the upholstery on the inside of the kitchen chairs. When I threatened with police, she and her assitant Rosa paid out the deposit after all. Since she speaks almost no English, always translated her partner Akos Makrani from Hungary, who from our point of view the game with the tourists. BE AWARE OF THIS!

  This is one of the nicest pla e in Golf del Sur, close to the beach, with mani reztaurants, swimming pools, and grocery stores. Is right into the hart of Golf, always warm, quiet, staff verry attentive and polite.Highly recommende it!
