  The worst property ever seen in Puerto de la Cruz. Absolute neglect attitude towards the guest: when I arrived late in the evening I was given not a room type I booked. I received a small room, not prepared - hair everywhere, stains, no shower gel, broken shower and terrible smell from drains in shower and kitchen. No service. After immediate ask for at least shower gel the receptionist replied I had to wait until next day when housekeeper comes. Next day I asked to change the room because of smell (I had headache because of the smell, even opened windows didn't help) and defect shower I got a reply it was what I paid for!!! After many arguments in the evening I finally got a different room, same type I booked. No least effort to improve the property. And on top of it theft from the room - an expensive perfume worth 180 euro has disappeared.

  You get what you pay for, it is a budget hotel and very basic. Good location. No cooker. The kettle is disgusting with dirt or mould and the water comes out of it yellow and dirty. The bedside table is covered in cigarette burns. Dust on phone in room. Cleanliness is a 0

  We stayed 21 days at Apartamentos Park Plaza Puerto de la Cruz room 201 for 830 euros in 2025. Great location clean. We asked for a room safe key. The receptionist “said 2 euros per day, let me count the days.” When he got to "February 29, 30 and 31" we smiled. In any event the room safe was too small to accommodate a small laptop. One room key two guests…interesting. Turns out it was impossible to have two functioning room keys. If one works the other one won’t. We did not see a single cockroach.The bathroom had a sign no toilet paper in the toilet. After seven flushes solid waste was still present. We determined the best course was let it sit for a few hours to soften up then flush. With patience and persistence it worked. Imagine a shower with a perfectly flat shower floor. After the first flood we noticed signs of water damage everywhere wood touched the tile floor. We eventually learned to take a shower without causing a flood. We asked the receptionist where we could launder our clothes. He directed us to a nearby laundry service and said “they will have your clothes ready in two hours." When we arrived at this laundry it was closed. The receptionist must have forgotten today was Sunday. We never asked any Park Plaza staff about anything again. We did find a native Canary islander at the currency exchange just meters from Calle Santo Domingo 21who was extremely helpful. For example we asked for a recommendation of a restaurant with panoramic ocean views. He knew if reservations were needed, his recommended food choices were outstanding. The physicians at Calle Santo Domingo 21 were extremely helpful and willing to prescribe nearly anything. We found prescription drug prices to be 1/5 to 1/10 the price of the identical drug in the US.

  A room with many bugs.....as a bonus!!

  The rooms have a kitchen corner that looks like a wardrobe, the beds are average, the bathroom is old, the eoom had no fan neither AC, which was not a problem in january.My room was on 4th floor facing the street, very hot though for january, I kept the window opened at night time , but outside is very noisy and had to use earplugs .But the worse was that the room was infested , especially by nigt, by black bugs measuring around 3 to 12 mm long , luckily enough not coming in the bed, but mainly on the floor and on bathroom walls...it was scary though ..I signalled at once after first night at the reception, they didn' t propose me to exchange room , but they sent the room maid for " a special treatment"....done while I was away...but for the 2nd and 3rd night, and also in daytime, I could see no difference, the room was full of bugs ..!!This affected my stay which has been a nightmare, and though the hotel was cheap, I' ll never go back again!To be honest I must say that my friend had a room on the same floor , facing an inner courtyard and the room was not hot and there were no bugs ..they should have proposed me to change room straight away!!

  The position is great, right in the square where with the action is. the roof top pool is great and the roof had the advantage of a patio where you can smoke, even when the pool is shut ( pool opens 10-18.0). There were cockroaches in the room, we asked reception to move us but they wouldn't, they did say they would treat the room, but the cockroaches continued. Some of us had internal rooms with no balcony, this was not made clear when we booked, however in some ways this was an advantage in the end, our friends in the adjoining hotel tropical who had balcony got a lot of noise from the square till after midnight. The lack of balcony was ok as we could go up to the roof, we were disappointed as all the photos showed balconies to all the rooms. The TV was terrible and although they advertised satellite TV there was no way you could change the language to English as the hotel has some how locked the language to German or Spanish. We have stayed in Spain for ever and never not managed to change the language on the TV, this was very annoying as our older family looked to stay in and watch Tele after a busy day.
