    Excelent price-quality ratio

    rating26 Jul 2020

On arriving there we were extremely well-received with some food as our plane took off very late and when we got there all restaurants were closed. The apartment was very roomy: 2 rooms with large comfy mattresses and wardrobes with plenty of space, 2 bathrooms, well- equipped kitchen (cutlery, crockery, oven, microwave, coffee maker…), a lounge and a patio which direct communication with the swimming-pool (very useful if you have children). The staff were all very kind with a good willingness to help whatever the issue we could have. The towels were replaced every day, rooms very clean. We’ve really enjoyed the peaceful and quietness you can get there (I guess the apartments were emptier as usual due to Covid19). The locations was great, in Santiago port, with Los Gigantes cliffs only 10 minutes by car, Arenas’ beach a 5 minutes walk and shopping centers (Siam Mall) 20 minutes by car.The only little issue was the shower with curtains, although they were replacing them by shower enclosures by the time we stayed there. In short, a quiet place with a good service. I strongly recommend it.

    No atmosphere or friendly feel

    rating23 Feb 2020

The main thing that I didnt like was the atmosphere, there isnt one!! Alot of the apartments are privately owned. There was no bar, except for a tiny hut outside that sold very limited drinks. The pool area was awful See photo, as nothing like their photos) The pool is surrounded by apartments and a massive grey wall along one side which is really ugly. The photos never show that. So the pool is mostly shaded, except for 1 small area, hence there was hardly anyone there. The staff struggled with English and werent very friendly. The balconies were mostly in the shade so youd be lucky to get 1 in the sun, unless you get a top floor room, we asked but there wasnt 1 free. There was a lovely pool opposite my balcony, in the sun, with nice plants round it and a Jacuzzi but of course thats only for the private guests!! There was only 1 mirror and that was in bathroom, so do dry hair etc you plugged in over the sink and all use same mirror. The shower was awful. A tiny shallow tray with a curtain. A real squeeze. You have to make sure there are no gaps in curtain or it floods, but even doing that if you keep water running the tray fills, hence why the mop is there, it floods through bathroom, hall, even bedroom. If you are just using this as a base then youll be ok, but I like a friendly atmosphere, maybe chatting to other guests, there was just no atmosphere at all here

    Hotel in great location

    rating16 Feb 2020

This hotel is in a great location only 2 minutes from the promenade. We were given a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom ,2 bathroom apartment which was useful as there were 3 of us.We were in room A215 which had full sun ALL afternoon (good thing or bad thing). It was 28 deg most days and the pool area of the hotel does not have much breeze so it gets hot.Towels were changed every day and rooms were reasonably clean.Kitchen was very poorly equipped. There was cutlery and crockery for 4 people. There was a kettle but no toaster,a hob and oven but there were only 3 saucepans and that was all that was provided. When we went there was one bedroom with no light working and3 other lights that did not work.We reported the lights to a lady in reception but nothing was done so we reported them again to a man with a moustache who had it sorted within a few hours. The new lights were fairly bright but the older lights in the apartment were so dim you could not even read with them.If you want to watch English TV then you would be disappointed as there are only Spanish channels if you can fathom out how to get the tv to work. The patio doors onto the balcony do not lock and are not even designed to lock. The kitchen window would not lock either. There were 2 bathrooms but nowhere to put anything - no shelves or hooks to hang the towels on.The showers were very small and had plastic shower curtains which were a menace when trying to shower. This is supposed to be a 3 star hotel but we have stayed in much better 2 star hotels than this.I would not stay here again. We didnt hate the place but we were disappointed in the equipment provided.

Room With No View (or Sun !!!)

    rating27 Jan 2020

MUST.... get a room with a roof terrace. Even in winter. If not, you get rooms which never get the sun, front or back. Very basically equipped, 3 of everything. So the klik-klak settee in the lounge is the third bed. Which was covered in an old sheet as the 'leather' was flaking all over the floor and scratched the back of your legs when sitting on it. No heavy curtains in the lounge, only voiles. Heavy curtains in the bedroom were unlined - the outside area, over the 'bar', reception and steps was lit all night and therefore lit up our apartment. No linings - no sleep. No coat hangers (the mash up of sizes - mainly childrens - brought to the room when asked for) were still inadequate. Staff were pleasant but had little English, including the female receptionist! No restaurant facilities (advertised). Showers are an accident waiting to happen. Shower curtain which sticks to you in use and nothing to hold onto. Shower tray becomes slippy and dangerous. Internally the apartments are poorly maintained. Apartments are occupied by long-term tenants who go to and from school, work etc, at the times you want to relax. YOU are on holiday!!! Thankfully we spent little time there as we were visiting relatives in the area. BUT we had booked a holiday - not residential long-stay. Hopefully Jet2 Holidays will remove them from their accommodation list. However, the weather was lovely and the bars and restaurants around the apartments were plentiful and good value. Sorry, no way can I recommend staying here.

    Perfect for going walkabout!

    rating26 Jan 2020

These apartments were just perfect for our stay/visit to Tenerife, it had everything needed for self catering, the room was large enough with plenty of space, the balcony was just ok with a table/2 chairs BUT with the added bonus of a roof terrace. Arena suites is on three floors (with a lift) The ground floor (1st) have a large terrace, with the 2nd floor having a slightly bigger one than the third floor BUT as mentioned earlier with the third floor you get a roof terrace with two loungers (but no shade/brolly!). About the rooms, these are well equipped with all things needed for your comfort, the shower/bathroom was decent with regular towel/toilet paper replenishment, the only tiny little issue was the shower with curtain that *clung* to your body as you tried to was BUT that was the only tiny gripe that i had.The staff were all very helpful, with nothing being any trouble at all for them to assist with our stay. There is a very good/regular bus service 100mt from the front of the property and a small *Black Sand* beach just 300 mts away (to the left as you walk out of the side rd), this beach had a life guard on duty and the bonus of toilets/shops for your convenience. The sun beds/brollys were charged at 5 Euro's for the day (you could leave them whilst going for lunch).hope this info is helpful.
