Nice hotel if aged a little

    rating21 Apr 2026

The hotel itself is well situated with stunning views of the sea. Facilities are ok but are showing their age. Being British I’m allowed to make the following statement! “The whole holiday was spoilt by drunken Brits who seemed to smoke weed all day and night Hotel Manager, Owner at BLUESEA Callao Garden, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for sharing your opinion after your recent stay at BLUESEA Callao Garden. We’re pleased you appreciated our prime location and the scenic sea views from the hotel, which are indeed highlights many guests cherish. However, we deeply regret the disturbance caused by other guests during your stay. While we aim to maintain a peaceful environment for all visitors, we acknowledge that this instance fell short of our standards and will be addressing such concerns more proactively.Nonetheless, it’s wonderful to know the surroundings added a pleasant touch to your holiday experience. Our team remains committed to ensuring every guest enjoys the tranquil atmosphere our location is known for.We hope to welcome you back.Kind regards,BLUESEA Callao Garden

Wouldn't recommend even on a budget.

    rating16 Apr 2026

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, however that said this wasn't a cheap cheap holiday. Our apartment was spacious, very dated and tatty with the most uncomfortable beds. The wifi didn't reach us so we ended up buying more data .Our balcony was uneven and covered in weeds, overlooking ruins and waste land. Only one pool was open which was down several flights of stairs from the bar area. The biggest disappointment was the food, it was dreadful at best & inedible at worse. We walked to the local supermarket and did a food shop even though we were all inclusive. The grounds team are working hard to look after the surrounding green areas which look lovely in photos but in reality this place is tired and rundown.

Awful place .Run down appartment with cockroaches.Beds really uncomfortable especially the pull out bed in the living which resembles a hospital bed .Safe didn’t work which we had to pay for and the staff were reluctant to give us our money back.No to remote as you had to pay a deposit.Food was poor .Had to pay a euro for a cup for yours drinks. Staff were rude and unhelpful

On The Beach has a fair bit to answer for but we'll come back to that later. We read various reviews that said this place was poor, smelly, bad food etc and we didn't find any of that at all. One review we read though was almost perfect in ours summation. The rooms are cleaned every two days and very sizeable with magnificent viewsout to sea. The food was pretty decent for budget All Inclusive but a little repetitive. And the staff were very happy and accommodating. The barman makes me wonder how he keeps going as he seemed to get one hour off in the middle of his 10am to 11pm shift. Great guy!Now...Steps! This resort is built on a hill and we were in the top part of the accommodation. The restaurant was at the bottom last of the complex and the bar was just above the restaurant servicing the lower 2 pools. There were 100 steps from the restaurant up to the apartment block we were in and a further 30 steps to our room. Our you could walk up the hill at the side. This is not for the weak hearted or those of restricted mobility and is NOT mentioned on On The Beach at all. To be honest it's not mentored anywhere that we saw. The top pool was very quiet which was great but having to do 90 steps to fetch an AI beer was frustrating. Plus with a 2 drink maximum you would be up and down steps all day varying drinks back. It's a shame there was no self service drinks up on the top pool as many Blue Seas do have this facility. Also other Bluseas have entertainment. During our stay there were live entertainers on 2 nights (we stayed 9 nights) and the bar really isn't designed for large numbers of tourists as there weren't enough chairs and tables on various nights. Theres roughly 11 tables in and out but far more people staying than that. A stack of chairs and tables on the poolside would help allow people to enjoy the bar in the evenings. The snack bar is also poor. Other Blueseas we have stayed at have a much wider selection. This snack bar was a fridge with ham and cheese (sometimes a bowl of lettuce), a toaster with bread and some biscuits. Everywhere else we've been with Bluesea there's been chips, nuggets or some form of warm food. (I sound very Brit abroad here but I'm more highlighting what's lacking not what we were missing)However it was a relaxing holiday, caused for my heart staff and our fitness had improved thanks to the hill walking. We're in our 50s but be mindful if you're older or less mobile. I think management here need to look at provision of a top bar at the top pool, more tables and chairs in the bar area for evenings, a better snack bar, and some entertainmenteven if not every night... sometimes

A wonderful, quiet spot for a relaxing stay. The apartments were spacious and clean, and the food was excellent. The reception staff were very helpful and answered all of our questions.
