Location

The hotel can be found in the heart of the Isla Baja lowlands, between the paved streets of the town and the port of Garachico, on the north-western coast of Tenerife, surrounded by natural swimming pools, filled by the Atlantic, and in the shade of Teide. Garachico is a town situated below the forest crown of the National Park of Teide, at the foot of the Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 50 km to Tenerife North Airport and 100 km to Tenerife South Airport.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1790. 2 junior suites, 2 suites, 2 single rooms and 14 double rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and central heating ensures just the right temperature. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi are provided as well. Amenities provided in the rooms include slippers and a daily paper. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The hotel has family rooms and 20 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, basketball, golf, fishing and horse riding. A wide range of sports are available, including water sports such as canoeing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving or, for a fee, windsurfing. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. After a long day, guests can relax in the wellness area, which features a sauna and a solarium. Massage treatments are among the facilities available for an extra fee.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte. Set menus are available at dinner. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Lovely haven in beautiful Garachico

    This hotel is every bit as wonderful as it looks. An old beautiful building with all the modern convenience you need. All the staff were super nice and did their very best to make your stay comfortable. Going there in early February, I was a bit worried about having breakfast outside, but with the heaters it was no problem. We had dinner at the hotel all three evenings we stayed there, as we just couldn't see the point in roaming the streets for another restaurant. Food was excellent, as was the wine list. We had a duplex room on the first floor. It was very quiet, and nice to have a bit of separation between the sitting area and the sleeping area. The hotel is very clean and the hotel provides very good value for money. Garachico is also a beautiful town to stay in, and a good base for hiking. We will stay there again next time in Tenerife.We wish to thank the staff for a lovely stay!

    What a find, AMAZING.From beginning to end everything was perfection, arrival made so welcome, departure again made to feel valued and thanked us for our stay !So much to say about everything would take pages , but the word outstanding covers it all.We went half board and it was fine dining every night, such unique and tasty dishes. Restaurant staff were amazing both evening and morning. Wines were so good and local.Reception staff couldn’t do enough to help you and so welcoming.The staff who looked after our room daily went above and beyond.I could go on , but let’s just say one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in ,pure joy.Thank you everyone at San Roque

    How can you rate a place that’s so perfect as a hotel?The minute you arrive you are greeted as a friend ( this was our third stay )Dominique and his team work tirelessly to ensure your stay is perfect Our room 108 was stunning ,with beautiful bedding and amenities Outside our room you could sit and read and enjoy the ambience of this unique placeBeautiful and intriguing art is lovingly displayed in corners of staircases , halls and lounge .Each chosen to incite discussion on their origins and history The pool and roof top areas promote total relaxation ,peace and privacy The staff is what makes this place so special as it’s clear they love their jobs and want you to have a wonderful stay We were here for Christmas and New Year dinners and each was an explosion of taste budsThe restaurant is very good with a range of delicious meals but staff will suggest other places to eat and book them for you Dominique thank you for another wonderful stay , we will be back

    Small but perfectly formed boutique hotel. Lovely building, location, rooms and such amazing attentive service. With 20 rooms it is very tranquil and restful, even in the pool.Great breakfast.Only minor issues and they were minor, couldn’t find any English language TV channels and missed an early morning coffee in the room.     Excellent small hotel

    Wonderful classic old hotel in the centre of town. Free parking is nearby with a drop-off outside hotel in one way cobbled street.Marvellous wooden interiors with multiple art deco, rennie mackintosh, features, and furniture. Big bedroom with all mod cons. Jacuzzi bath in bedroom. Small bathroom with walk-in shower.The dining area is situated around the small pool, which we didn't feel was ideal. Didn't really want to swim in front of people dining.The food was excellent, as were the staff. Sun loungers on the rooftop.There is one small service lift apparently not available to guests.
