Location

The hotel is situated opposite the town hall in the centre of the municipality of Vilaflor, the highest village in Spain, which lies beside Teide national park. Additional facilities include a variety of restaurants. The closest bus stop is only 200 metres away. It is around 30 minutes from the tourist zone of Playa de las Americas and 25 minutes from Tenerife South airport.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 6 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. The hotel provides a cloakroom, a safe, a TV room and a laundry service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available.

Individually adjustable heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including bocce, a spa, a sauna, a steam bath and a solarium.

The dining area includes a breakfast room. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Bed and breakfast can be booked.

Comfortable, clean, modern, great staff, great facilities, brilliant location, good breakfast. Felt well looked after with phone calls and email communication before staying, staff were friendly, the place is clearly well looked after and the honesty fridge with beers and wine were very welcome after a long day in the saddle.

Beautiful Retreat in Idyllic Mountain Village

Ziggys Mountain Retreat is a lovely place to stay in the idyllic mountain village, Vilaflor. The building is beautiful; the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is an outdoor pool and peaceful outdoor area to enjoy the sun (or shade if you prefer), as well as a comfortable lounge with a basic little bar. The breakfast is good and the staff were super helpful and accommodating! This is a great place to stay as a base from which to go on hikes in the nearby area - which is stunning.

We booked 2 nights b&b in two rooms and on arrival paid for them. One room’s only window was onto the main corridor. The whole place was shabby not chic! Broken items in the lounge which appeared like the rest of the ‘hotel’ to be a collection of unrelated articles. One lamp in the lounge was unusable as the plug had been cut off. The lounge was dirty and dingy with insufficient light. Our host disappeared after check in and we had to answer the doorbell to a couple looking for accommodation later that evening. This was not boutique standard. Breakfast was buffet but unappetising and no water available to refill kettle although earlier the host did appear to say we could access breakfast. Unfortunately one member of the group had become ill and had to leave on that morning. As we were travelling together we all checked out. We asked for some reimbursement especially as we would not receive the next breakfast.The pool area was roped off and unusable. The bar outside closed and filthy. We never received any refund and would advise people to use other establishments in Vilaflor. Will not return.

No one at reception despite indicating our arrival time, had to call the owner several times. No one at night either. Lots of noise in the bedroom facing the street (cars passing by). Light coming from the corridor (no curtains). Very bad mattress. Almost no light in the bathroom. Electricity was down for breakfast, so we could not have it, and it was impossible to contact the owner. And still no one for check out. Definitely not recommended.

would highly reccomend the couple of hosts were very knowledgable and the rooms are very spacious and beautifula very warm welcome 10 out of 10especially when travelling alonevilaflor is very beautiful also
