  Place offers 8 rooms, plenty of comfortable sitting areas in a beautiful garden with stunning views to the ocean. Interior of the rooms is old fashion, bathrooms are modernised. There are two lounges with tea/ coffee making facilites and honesty bar (wine, beer, water, coke). Breakfast in buffet styleis served from 8:30 - 10 am. Tranquil atmosphere, rock pool and rocky beach to swim in walking distance.

  FAMILY RUN IDYLL SET ABOVE COASTAL BANANA PLANTATION

  Beautiful, tranquil family run hotel, AMAZING sea views, set on a hill above banana plantations. We LOVED this place. Super charming family run small hotel (8 rooms). The 8 rooms are spread across three single storey buildings. We stayed in room 8 which had a sea view. The feel is that of a private house. Room and bathroom were great. Breakfast is super nice, and the staff are charming. We spent most of our time relaxing in the sunshine and taking in the fabulous location. We ate every night in Garachico, which is 5 min drive away... Loads of really nice restaurants there... You don't actually need to go anywhere else except Garachico, which is a really charming old village. If you want to go exploring this is a great base from which to do so. COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE HIGHER.

  A panoramic sea view and short walk to a beach

  What a peaceful place to relax on a comfortable sofa or sun lounger while looking over a panoramic view of the sea over the banana plantations. The gardens are beautifully kept and a joy. It's very quiet, with no road noise and several delightful seating areas, yet just a few minutes to Garachico or Icod by car, which is pretty much essential unless all you want to do is chill with a book. The breakfast buffet was plentiful - smoked salmon one day, ham or eggs the next and a selection of cereals and fruits and fresh baguettes too, though croissants and small cakes were packaged. That said, it would have been great to have trays at breakfast, as guests can eat wherever they like and - for the best views - you have to make numerous journeys to carry everything on side plates. By the time we'd done that our tea was cold (and the jug of coffee was awful!). Also, we had to discreetly remove some heavily scented fake flowers and fragrance sticks from our room as we wanted fresh air, not chemical fragrance! These are small issues though, and owner, Pedro, is very helpful, though rarely around. But having the place to ourselves was fabulous, so we didn't mind at all.For us the best thing about the location is a small, dark sandy beach and platform to the sea just 5 minutes' walk through the bananas on a path, which makes up for having no pool at Malpais Trece (though there is a tennis court). It was 25 degrees in mid-April and we swam and sunbathed with the locals. A really lovely property.

  Lovely hidden place with the perfect surrounding. Comfortable, small and tidy with lots of beautiful details. Good breakfast, an owner with a good Humor. Get there and enjoy a holiday far away from any touristic big hotels.

  Wonderful place for peace and quiet

  This place is gorgeous. Lots of outdoor space for sitting or sunbathing. Surrounded by banana plantations. Comfortable room with lovely ensuite shower room with toiletries and hairdryer. Safe in the room. The breakfast has plenty of choice and there is a kettle, tea and coffee freely available all the time. You ideally need a car as the town of Garachico is a good couple of kilometres away and not a pleasant route on the main road to get there if you have to walk. There is a bar that serves ok food at the top of the drive on the main road but more choice in Garachico. There is parking on site. Fully recommend if staying in the area.
