  Last minute cheeky bargain break

  We booked this 2 weeks before we went. The reviews were a little on the mixed side so we were a little apprehensive. We had a late flight and didn't arrive until after midnight. There was one person on reception and it took a little time, but every passenger was greeted and given information, wrist bands and room keys and directions to our rooms.We were pleasantly surprised on entering our room, had a decent sized double bed, a sofa bed made up in the living area for our son, a decent sized shower and a functional kitchen, no oven but enough for our self catering stay. The balcony overlooked the quieter poolside and we spent a few evenings watching the evening entertainment from our balcony.You can book all inclusive on a pay as you go basis, which we did for one day the breakfast was lovely and the dinner and evening meal were perfectly acceptable for an all inclusive. We wouldn't have wanted to eaten there all week but what we had was fine. The snack bar was really good, decent choice and the drinks were really nice, a lot of free choices and some payable.The main pool was too busy for our son so we spent our time when we had an hotel day at the quieter side, the water is a little chilly but our son loved it, and I braved it too, a welcome cool down for frying on the sunbeds. We had 4 trips while we were there and hired a car. (Don't use the car hire in the hotel, it's double the price of the ones out and about) We went on the Teide by night trip, Flipper Uno to see dolphins and whales, Siam waterpark and loro parque. Every one highly recommended, my son is 11, myself and my husband are 46 and 50 and we all loved every excursion. This is the first time I have been to Tenerife and will definitely be back, don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews for this hotel, it's clean, staff are polite, the rooms are clean and spacious, everything you could want for a reasonable priced getaway. We would definitely come back and would recommend to our family and friends. Give it a go!! Say hi to the lizards from us, they're everywhere when you're out and about.

  2nd stay at this hotel , and we enjoyed it as a family of 3 .We had a pool view ground floor one bed apartment over looking the main pool .Every day around 11 games started here and also pool games .Family type games , great music and exercise in the pool .Entertainment staff fun and energetic and dressed up.Had as much fun watching it from the sunlounger ! Was Easter hols and no sunbed wars .They are chained up until about 7.45 but leisurely got a sunbed every day even though it was busy .There are 2 pool areas .Main pool is where daytime entertainment happens , (no lilos allowed )and has a pool bar serving drinks which can have long queues and a snack bar serving usual burgers ,chips , pittas , nuggets , salads ,hot dogs ice-cream, cakes , no self serve drinks and then a quieter pool on the other side which has a bar and an inside area for evening entertainment and also outdoor evening entertainment.Easier to get a drink in day at this bar as less of a queue.Its only a 3 star but it is a nice relaxing hotel with enough fun for a break away in the sun .It has an on-site pharmacy and a few minute walk is a hyper dino , and few restaurants and shops , and you can walk to the nearest small covey beach albeit its hilly so no good if you have mobility issues .There is a lidl up the hill maybe 10 minute walk .We hired a car but parking is very hit and miss .Pools were absolutely freezing just to be warned ! We will definitely come back a 3rd time ( both times we had a good deal through TUI ) We found all staff friendly.Restaurant is also on the quieter pool side .There is restaurant seating outside overlooking that pool.Food is typically all inclusive with some themed nights .There is an Italian restaurant on site where you get 1 dine in with all inclusive but book on arrival as we missed this due to not booking early enough .Our room was basic but roomy with a sofa bed in lounge and a large bedroom with aircon and a safe and a terrace with chairs and a table .Check as some rooms have no balcony /terrace but it states this on booking .Queues formAt main pool bar but is less busy CHARLOTTE CHARRIER, Guest Services / Front Office at Globales Tamaimo Tropical, responded to this review Dear Guests,Thank you very much for your loyalty and for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your second stay with us.   Deserves a higher rating!

  We have just stayed here for a week AI.Room: spotless! We stayed in room 138. It was clean and spacious for 2 adults and a child, we were ground floor with a pool side view. Staff: helpful, friendly and knowledgable.Nothing is too much trouble and everybody made you feel welcome. Everybody worked so hard to keep this hotel clean and running smoothly. Pools: yes they’re freezing however not one child complained, they were all having fun and daring adults to brave the cold. It was very funny to watch and was a welcome relief when the temperatures started to soar. The bigger pool had all the entertainment and activities however the smaller pool was a quieter more relaxed atmosphere. We experienced both and preferred the smaller pool as a personal preference. Food: the restaurant was spotless, everything tasted fresh and not reheated as with some AI i have been too. Breakfast was our favourite meal with items being cooked fresh while you wait and plenty of pancakes & pastries. Items were labeled correctly so you knew what you were getting. The snack bar was constantly stocked all day so if you fancied a quick burger and chips rather than a sit down lunch you didn’t have to wait. The chef at the outside grill kept everything stocked and was cooking all day. Lunch and dinner was, again, hot, fresh and tasty enough. The Italian restaurant is nice enough but i wouldn’t say it blew us away. Location: beautiful! Very steep hills for a walk however this didn’t worry us as a young family. Just a short walk to the left of the hotel was the most stunning views of the mountains and ocean, if you are able to go view it then absolutely do. If i had to pick at anything it would be the noise in this particular building between 10pm-midnight with children using it as a playground, there is plenty of space around the entertainment area for kids to play including pool tables etc without running around the building also not having the option of a coffee at lunch or dinner is unfortunate but that would be my only minor negatives and will not stop me giving 5 stars. All in all we have had a fantastic week here and would return and recommend, however i would come half board and go out for dinner at the amazing San Fransisco restaurant under 5 min walk to the right of the hotel!   Perfect family break - ignore the negative reviews

  Had the most amazing week in Tenerife. We have visited so many places along the coast ☀️ Globales Tamaimo Tropical ☀️ What we loved ♥️ kids reviews ✅ The food was the best. I loved the pancakes ✅ The rooms were big✅ Walking and exploring ✅ Sunsets ✅ Whales & Dolphins My review The location is an area of outstanding beauty. Behind every corner is something more breathtaking than the last. There is a great local bus service and taxis are readily available outside the hotel. The hotel is not beachfront however there are natural ocean pools to swim in (tide permitting, check local safety info) and Playa Arena beach is €5 in a taxi and is just beautiful especially if you stay for the sunset. I couldn’t fault the food at all considering what we paid to come. I have a fussy eater and beige food was readily available all day. There were themed nights such as Mexican & tapas. We did a whale tour where we saw Pilot whales and the captain on the boat told us lots of interesting information about them. At Los Gigantes port where we boarded the boat there is an amazing ice cream shop called Berry’s. Don’t miss this. We did a trip to SIAM Park not something I would call fun but the kids loved it. We didn’t have much involvement with the animation team as my kids didn’t want to go to the kids club however there was always something going on. The gardens surrounding the hotel were beautiful and well maintained. Any issues I had were resolved immediately by the hotel reception. The hotel itself is accessible for chair users however the town is very hilly so would not be ideal for exploring without public transport.
