Another great holiday and will be back

    rating26 Apr 2026

Just returned from another fantastic holiday, 4th visit in last 12 months. Standards have not dropped and all staff friendly. However a special shout to Jenya on reception who arranged a late check out for us on day of departure she went above and beyond for we which we are eternally grateful. We stayed B&B with ample choice for breakfast. Rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. Night time entertainment was varied and enjoyable. We have already booked a family holiday for April 2027 but my wife will be back again in October for yet another relaxing holiday Alejandro Crespo, Director General at Mediterranean Palace, responded to this review Dear Ian,Thank you very much for your continued trust and loyalty to our hotel. We are truly delighted to know that your latest stay was once again a fantastic experience and that our standards continue to meet your expectations. It is especially rewarding to read your kind words about our team, and we will be very pleased to share your special recognition with Jenya. She will be delighted to know that her assistance with your late check-out made such a positive difference to your departure day.We are also pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast selection, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the evening entertainment. The greatest compliment for us is knowing that you have already booked another family holiday with us for 2027, and that your wife will also be returning later this year. We very much look forward to welcoming you both back again soon for more relaxing holidays with us.Kind regards,

    Great holiday with a toddler

    rating23 Apr 2026

We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at the Mediterranean Palace. I almost didn’t book this hotel because of some of the reviews, but I’m so glad we did. This hotel is perfectly set up for families with young children. The splash area is a huge bonus, alongside the little kids’ pool, and there’s also a brilliant kids’ club with its own soft play area. You can stay and play with your children or arrange for them to be looked after. It’s the most modern kids’ club I’ve seen, and the soft play area was a major hit with our toddler. The location is excellent—right on the beach and on the ‘Golden Mile,’ next to Hard Rock Cafe. There are plenty of lovely family-friendly restaurants on the doorstep, plus a little park nearby too.We stayed B&B, and breakfast was great, with lots of variety. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and because we booked directly with the hotel, they really went above and beyond for us.Finally, the nightly entertainment was really enjoyable. We booked a pool room, so once our little one was asleep, we could sit on the balcony and watch the entertainment, which was good for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Made me cry on my birthday.... AVOID from 5011!

    rating21 Apr 2026

We visited 4 times between January 2025 to January 2026..... I even had my own clients book and stay here because I recommended this hotel so highly. On our most recent visit in January 2026 we noticed it had a change of ownership as there were branding tweaks but we didn't think much of it at the time, especially as we saw a couple of the warm faces we recognised.... The first night, after a long flight and it was late, I showered whilst my partner fell fast asleep.. the bathroom flooded into the bedroom hallway, I called reception - I had a very lovely lady from housekeeping who could only offer me 10 towels to mop it up as I couldn't wake my absolutely shattered partner. We had multiple issues with the bathroom, even damaging our belongings (we had to purchase a new iPhone on return). I spoke to the guest manager, who was lovely at the time (and I hate complaining) .. She sent a bottle of Cava to our room which we very much appreciated...However nothing was fixed.. We had to constantly ask for extra towels to stem the shower issue. The day we were due to check out (also being my birthday), we came back from breakfast to find our room key didn't work. We went to reception, we thought we were overdue checking out and it had been deactivated. (we'd always asked for a late checkout on booking and it was never a problem). Rather than acknowledging checkout is at midday and they don't deactivate keys, we were met with an abrupt and rude member of staff - she made the entire situation so much worse than it needed to be and exacerbated everything purely by her attitude and deciding to be confrontational - I appreciate there can be a language barrier, I only speak conversational Spanish, but she was very much fluent in English, which almost made her attitude worse - we didn't realise that checkout was midday as standard (we've previously had earlier flights), so there was never an issue to begin with, and it turned out, room keys don't get deactivated - we just had a faulty door lock which required a technician to attend - I stood and sobbed because of how aggressively I'd been spoken to once realising it could've all been avoided by a professional attitude. I have complained to the in house guest manager who was previously very accommodating with a harsh response taking no accountability, I was also sent an email survey which I asked to be contacted by someone, with no response..I have also tried to contact higher management with no avail. I think I'm fair to have waited this long (23/04/26) before writing my damning review.... I am still very much contactable with further details, if whoever reads this wishes to get in touch.

NOT THE RELAXING BREAK WE EXPECTED

    rating20 Apr 2026

Just returned from 5 days at this hotel. We chose this hotel because of its well publicised recent refurbishment and its great location on the golden mile. Well it was however far from the short relaxing couples break we expected. We have never seen so many children and pushchairs at any hotel we’ve ever stayed in admittedly many have been adults only. The standard of the room and the room service was good but that’s where it ended. We have never had to queue for breakfast at any of the hotels we’ve ever stayed in over many years. But here once we got out the lift we were in a queue over 40 people deep. When you did manage to get in the dining room it was like being in a noisy school canteen with the standard of food at the same level. The pool area was also noisy. Each evening there was the noise of a kids disco booming into our room at 8 pm as we prepared to go out. No sleep either before 11pm as some band was murdering the songs of ABBA or some other group. So in a nutshell if you’re a couple looking for a quiet relaxing break give this place a wide berth. We will not be returning. Alejandro Crespo, Director General at Mediterranean Palace, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret that your stay did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that Mediterranean Palace is a family-oriented beach resort. It is very likely that your stay coincided with Easter holidays, a peak period for school vacations, which naturally results in a higher presence of families with children. Our hotel offers a lively atmosphere throughout the day, with both daytime and evening entertainment designed for all ages. That said, all activities conclude at 11:00 p.m., which is considered an early finishing time in Spain, especially in a holiday destination such as ours.Regarding breakfast, during peak times some waiting may occur due to high occupancy, although our team works continuously to manage the flow of guests as efficiently as possible. While we understand that our concept may not align with guests seeking a completely quiet, adults-only environment, it is clearly designed to provide a vibrant and dynamic holiday experience. We appreciate your comments and regret that this was not the type of stay you were looking for.Kind regards,
