Location

Lying amidst wonderful lush sub-tropical gardens just 22 km from Tenerife's southern airport and about 75 km from the island's capital of Santa Cruz, this hotel lies directly on the promenade in the holiday region of Costa Adeje. It is just a short walk to the Playa del Duque (150 m) and shops as well as entertainment venues are to be found approximately 1.5 km away.

Facility

The hotel has 18 junior suites and 278 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by 4 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. To ensure guests a comfortable and relaxing stay, the hotel provides various services and facilities, including a currency exchange service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a minibar are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can strike that perfect balance between exercise and relaxation in one of the 3 freshwater pools, which are outdoors and in part heated. There is a special swimming area for little ones as well. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy cycling/mountain biking and golf. For a fee, tennis is also available. Indoor facilities and activities also include a gym and table tennis or, for a fee, billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, Ayurveda treatments and a solarium. Subject to charge: massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

The dining area includes a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. A generous breakfast buffet and a dinner from the buffet or as a set menu are served every day. Special meals, including vegetarian dishes, are also available.

    We knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Nice rooms, esp if u pay the bit extra to get a full seaview room. Breakfast buffet is amazing, and dinner also excellent. Wide choice and caters well for allergies. Pool are lovely and gate opens directly onto the promenade. Situated between Caleta ( good restaurants) and Americas, but with its own distinctive vibe. All staff excellent. Already planning our return.

    Fabulous. Couldn't fault it.If you are looking for a restful and peaceful holiday in a good location Riu Palace Adeje is an excellent choice. The buffet is probably the best hotel food we have experienced. Rooms, views, bars and staff outstanding. Everywhere is spotless. Entertainment is low key and is outside so you're likely to need a cardigan/jacket.We will be returning.

    The staff were excellent. Had been concerned about buffet as don’t generally rate them but the food was excellent and they catered really well for the guests with 3.5 hour span of time for breakfast and dinner. Room spacious and cleaning excellent. Lots of availability of seats around pool and a separate adult section. Very well situated between Costa Adeje and Caleta. We had a lovely time (mother and daughter) and would thoroughly recommend.

    Wifi useless kept cutting outVery noisy in the mornings with cleaners dragging trolley about. No shower cap or cotton buds.     Would return here as we liked this hotel which is in a quieter part of Costa Adeje. Food in buffet very good, plenty of choices, hot plates and hot food. Waiter service prompt and friendly. Entertainment in evening was ok with piano or guitar in lobby and musical acts in the entertainment room. Boy band was particularly good. All staff were friendly and helpful and we ordered a blanket and extra pillows which were delivered very promptly. Room cleaned well every day, towels changed morning and night. This hotel suits us, we’ve paid a lot more elsewhere and been unhappy. This hotel we highly recommend and will go back next year. Join the Rui club, we have and will book directly in future. Our room was quiet and we slept very well.
