  Overall, for the price we paid in May, we feel we received fair value and had an enjoyable stay.

  The staff were absolutely fantastic — warm, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We couldn’t fault them.We found the buffet offered a good variety of dishes, but the overall quality didn’t quite meet our expectations. Some items, such as fruit and salad, weren’t kept chilled and were starting to turn. The communal yoghurt bowls felt a little unhygienic, and the bread and pastries were often stale from being left out too long. Meats, cheeses and jams could have been higher quality, and the sausages and bacon at breakfast were disappointing. Dinner options also tasted quite cheap and overly salted.We do appreciate that this is reflected in the price, and overall the offering is good value for money — it just wasn’t quite right for us. We preferred breakfast over dinner and chose to dine out most evenings. The buffet area was also very busy, even though it wasn’t peak season, and the underground seating area felt dark, stuffy and a bit like a school canteen, which didn’t make for the most inviting dining experience.The bars on site were great — good variety, reasonable prices and excellent service. It would be lovely if some stayed open later, especially the champagne bar, as the terrace is such a nice place to relax in the evening.Room cleaning was 10/10, though some of the shared bathrooms and corridors around the hotel could have been cleaner. Our apartment was comfortable overall, but the air‑conditioning was quite weak. It wasn’t an issue in May, but could be uncomfortable in hotter months. A few bathroom tiles looked worn and not quite up to 4‑star standard, and the drying rack on the terrace was too small to be practical. It was also unusual to have a TV only in the bedroom and not the lounge — not a problem for us, but potentially inconvenient for families. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well, and we felt secure using the safe.I do wonder how guest capacity is managed in peak season, as some facilities already felt stretched in mid‑May — particularly the buffet and the evening entertainment area, which was always full.The entertainment and animation team were a lovely highlight, running activities throughout the day with so much energy and positivity.Our experience at Hovima Cool Spa was exceptional — truly a top‑quality spa and one of the highlights of our trip. It’s excellent value for money and a perfect way to spend an overcast day.Overall, for the price we paid in May, we feel we received fair value and had an enjoyable stay. However, with higher summer prices, we personally wouldn’t pay more than we did for our visit.   Lovely hotel

  A fabulous hotel! Modern, stylish and immaculate. The suite we had was beautifully decorated and spacious. The food was all excellent, the drinks at dinner were a good selection. The bar prices were extremely reasonable. In an ideal location for the beaches we were spoilt for choice on either pool or beach days. All the staff from housekeeping, entertainment, bar, restaurant and reception were all very polite and friendly. We will definitely be returning.   Nice hotel, could do with a few changes

  We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the hotel with our 1 year old. It was a nice hotel that suited our requirements well, with many positives:- Before arriving I emailed to ask for a cot and a bath, and both were in our room upon arrival which was great- The room was a decent size with a separate living room and bedroom, meaning we could put our child down and still be able to have an evening without worrying about making noise- The kids pool was the ideal depth and temperature for young children, we didn’t use the splash park, but it did look good for slightly older children- The hotel is split into an adults only and family side (inc the restaurant), which was a great set up we’ve never seen before, so that made being a parent to a young child more comfortableThere were however a few things that were less positive:- Considering it is a very kid friendly hotel, none of the toilets had a baby changing table, which was fine when you were at the pool as you could use a sunbed, but if you needed to change a nappy at dinner or the evening you had to go back to your room- The balcony lights went off at 10pm and there was no switch to turn them back in (that we found) so you had to sit in darkness if you wanted to sit out there later- The safe was €3 a DAY extra! Felt like an unnecessary (greedy) additional charge, as nothing else was an additional charge - There were too many sunbeds for the time of year (mid April) there were so many unused and they were so tightly packed in, removing just a few per row would have made it a bit more comfortable. This was the same in the dining room, it was often hard to get around as there were line of tables very close together. (Appreciate this is a positive during high). There were also very few umbrellas outside, when I asked at reception for more, they didn’t really know who was responsible for putting them out- The all inclusive food during the day (when the restaurant was closed) was nachos, burgers and hot dogs everyday. A little frustrating there was no variety, especially when offering to kidsThe town was an easy walk, and lively in the evening. If you have kids we can recommend the road train, which stops on the hour outside a hotel around the corner (less than 5 mins walk). All being said we would consider returning as we had a very enjoyable week away.   Great Hotel

  Fermin was great on our check-in experience and as late arrival at 9.15pm said we can use buffet as only 10 mins to closure. We were very grateful after a long day travelling. Room was spotless and spacious with all we could need. Pools beautiful and food was exceptional, lots of choice. My only negative is the lack of toilets whilst using the pool. Only 2 (disabled) ones for the large pools maybe more toilets would be useful around pool, as this would also stop wet feet walking into the hotel causing safety hazard. Will definitely be back as this was a fantastic stay.
