Facility

    We were welcomed with lovely drinks and chocolates by Vida. Throughout the trip by the lovely Paola made us so welcome.Breakfast buffet abundant with every option imaginable fresh every day! The breakfast staff so friendly and nice, coffees within minutes.Around the gorgeous pool cocktails twice daily and taichi at 11am.We enjoyed Pergola restaurant with brilliant Emanuele and Stefano first class as was food, salted seabass delish.Room gorgeous with sea view and excellent room team.Cannot fault this Hotel.

    Needing some relaxation, we booked (through Indulgent Escapes) a week here.I had emailed ahead to book La Pergola, one of their Al a Carte restaurants, for my husband’s birthday and received a prompt reply.We arrived and had a lovely welcome from the reception team. They confirmed our restaurant booking at the same time. A charming porter escorted us to our room on the first floor, which was a junior suite with a sea view and had a terrace that was almost as large as the room!The room was lovely and much to our delight an abundance of drawers, hanging space, coat hangers (I usually have to ring reception for more!) and three bottles of water everyday and 2 fresh towels each day to take to the pool, along with a basket.All of the staff without exception were very good. In the buffet restaurant for breakfast and some of our evening meals - Carlos and the fabulous Venezuelan lady (so sorry I don’t have your name) were so lovely. The Italian waiter and the Spanish waiter in La Pergola, were also very friendly and professional.There is an extraordinary number of repeat guests here, we chatted to a few and some on their 5th visit. We can appreciate why.Paula (Uruguayan yoga teacher) was delightful too. Mixed information on the programme of yoga, Pilates etc, your best bet is to ignore what reception gives you and see what the small sign at the Sala says for timings and days.The gym is accessed by your room card and is small with weights of a maximum 14kgs, but my husband enjoyed using it.There is a long promenade in both directions from the back of the hotel, to many shops, restaurants and bars and access to the beach.Keep up the good work and the terrific staff training El Mirador and we hope to return………see what it does😀 online experience, Owner at JOIA El Mirador by Iberostar, responded to this review Dear Guest,On behalf of the team, we would like to thank you for allowing us to serve you both and for sharing your review.     Another visit - our sixth - which says everything really. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel with exquisite gardens overlooking the ocean and adults only, this is the one for you. Many guests return because the service is always impeccable and for many it is a real ‘home from home’.

    A Fantastic Hotel

    If you're looking for peace & tranquility in a high quality, adults only hotel then we would highly recommend Joia El Mirador.We've been back several times over the last few years and it never disappoints. The hotel never feels busy but is typically always full. The food is fantastic, with a huge choice every night from the buffet restaurant, if you choose not to go for the a la carte or taster menu restaurants. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, pools, rooms, everywhere.However it's the staff who make this place so special. You're really made to feel genuinely welcome by every member of staff throughout your stay.As always, special mentions are well deserved for Carlos, Davide and Alexandro in the restaurants, who make every meal fun. Diana who can never do enough to help on the Balconada and Tiziana who makes sure everything is perfect and even better than last time with a big genuine smile. They really are the dream team.It's clearly not just us who feel like this.
