    Wonderful stay

    rating25 Apr 2026

Was very happy with our hotel choice. Saw some complaints about beds from reviews prior to arriving - but there are many beds throughout. It is the selfish behaviour of guests blocking beds when not using them for hours - or to even return and use them at all. Lovely heated pool, peaceful (red level adults), helpful and friendly staff, manicured grounds and great breakfast (B&B as don’t like to be grounded to a hotel with all inclusive). Great promenade walk up to Los Gigantes and to San Juan (although this does have a bit of a cliff edge part). San Juan was a very cute little town nearby. Would absolutely recommend a stay here.

    Beautiful, relaxing holiday in Tenerife

    rating14 Apr 2026

We loved our stay at RedLevel Gran Melia Palacio de Isora. From the friendly reception to the services and amenities to the tranquil pool and sea side Bali beds- it perfectly fit our holiday plans. The hotel is large and families seemed to be enjoying the family friendly areas. The pool side bar, day time snacks at the RedLevel Bistro, happy hour as well at the Bistro and restaurants (including those a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel along the cliffs to Acala..highly recommend Muelle Viejo for seafood) we enjoyed every minute. A hidden secret at the hotel is the Entre Cielos rooftop bar which at the moment is only open on the weekends but has beautiful sunset views, tapas and a variety of cocktails. We were after a serene, relaxing holiday and while we enjoyed seeing the fun the young families were having at the Oasis, the huge infinity pool and elsewhere, we were able to escape and relax at RedLevel. Ridiculous place. Should enforce rules against sunlounger hogging.

    rating30 Mar 2026

Ridiculous place .Where do I start?First, if you go ‘half board’ you can either eat in the buffet or one of the restaurants. Only snag is that to eat in a restaurant you have to book in advance. Two days in advance, as thy are all booked out. And to get a booking three days in advance, you have to log onto an app at MIDNIGHT to make it. Or join a queue at reception at 10-30.The beach towel place opens at 0900hrs. 0910 given the time they work on. So if one goes down you can get your towels. You then go up to find a sun lounger at the kids pool and they are all taken with towels. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. It is so competitive that one goes down the night before. I had the ignominy of having to put a towel down on the small patch of grass. It is clear that this place works to try to charge more for ‘red’ membership. And makes things very difficult. It is also busy season (as the reply to this comment will doubtless say) but it is a good idea to track the ratios of guests to sun loungers and enforce rules to stop people hogging loungers.Just don’t bother with this place. You can do better. Hotel Manager, Owner at RedLevel At Gran Melia Palacio De Isora, responded to this review Dear Guest, Greetings from Palacio de Isora, a Gran Meliá Hotel! We appreciate you taking the time to review your recent experience. We are sorry to read about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must have been during your stay. Please note that we are continuously working on improving our processes and exploring solutions to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, both in terms of sunbed availability and restaurant reservations.Regarding sunbeds, while clear guidelines are in place to ensure fair use, unfortunately some situations depend on the respect and consideration of all guests. Nevertheless, we will continue reinforcing these measures with our team.We hope that you will allow us the opportunity of providing you with an improved stay in future. Best regards,Emilia M., RedLevel at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora Team

    Fantastic October Break.

    rating24 Mar 2026

A return visit for us and as I have previously stated and are of a normal disposition and not one of life's discontent and of course allowing for issues that can arise from time to time the Red Level in Alcala is a simply marvellous hotel. The associates that work there are fantastic and give there all to make your stay as enjoyable as they can.I don't like heaping praise on individuals as the team are fantastic but Dean and Vero excell in friendly professionalism, Mario,Lucas,Denis and Jose excell at front of house. Moha, what can I say about Moha, simply a wonderful human being. Lorenzo and his team especially Janette have demanding jobs in the restaurants but somehow always manage to spent a little time to make sure you feel appreciated. To all of you and even those who have moved to other parts of the hotel ( Ronald and who could ever forget Lucy) our thanks go out to you. We will be back .The very best to you all. Clive and Val.Ps. Dean thank you very much, but I'm sure you can do better next time. 😉🤣 Hotel Manager, Owner at RedLevel At Gran Melia Palacio De Isora, responded to this review Dear Sir,Greetings from Palacio de Isora, a Gran Meliá Hotel! We appreciate your feedback regarding your recent experience. We are deeply honored to welcome you back to RedLevel at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, where our dedication to creating exceptional experiences finds its purest expression.Your kind recognition of our associates' intuitive personal service fills us with pride, each member strives to embody the Spanish warmth that defines every carefully-designed touch. It brings us particular joy to know our culinary offerings and privileged location between Mount Teide and the Atlantic provided moments of connection to the land's natural majesty. The entire team, including those you graciously mentioned, shares in your appreciation and looks forward to crafting future memories that continue exceeding your expectations. We look forward to seeing you again on another occasion.Best wishes,Emilia M., RedLevel at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora Team

    Great holiday, could be better

    rating19 Mar 2026

We tried the ritz carlton abama last year and was disappointed. We thought red level adults section at Gran Melia Palacios would be better. And to us it is.We liked the junior suite room with terrace by the pool and the gardens, downside was that the red level is not fenced off or key entry. It was obvious at times that people should not have been there……parents with child buggies. So for us it was a flawed experience as there were not enough adult only areas…….even Cielos bar closed some nights. We enjoyed our garden breakfast and the lovely happy hour each evening. We ate in the seafood tasting restaurant, a great experience. The buffet was also good on the nights we tried as well as Duo steakhouse. The food in the Nami asian was just about OK, as for the Italian restaurant……very poor indeed. The pool bar served some great snacks lunchtimes. The staff at red level were amazing, all stand out for great service. In summary if red level could be policed in some way, had more adult only areas, i could recommend, currently thats not possible. Hotel Manager, Owner at RedLevel At Gran Melia Palacio De Isora, responded to this review Dear Guest, Greetings from Palacio de Isora, a Gran Meliá Hotel! Many thanks for your review of your recent visit. We are delighted you found our RedLevel experience superior and appreciated the serenity of your junior suite's garden terrace overlooking the pool.Your praise for our garden breakfasts and sunset happy hours, along with memorable dining moments at our seafood tasting venue and Duo Steakhouse, truly honors our dedication to state-of-the-art gastronomy. We sincerely regret the moments your sanctuary was interrupted and have reinforced our RedLevel access protocols to preserve the exclusive tranquility our guests cherish. While Cielos Bar's occasional closures reflect seasonal programming adjustments, we appreciate your feedback regarding expanded adult-oriented spaces and will share this consideration with our planning team.Your recognition of our RedLevel team's attentive service embodies the Spanish warmth we strive to cultivate, and we note your observations regarding culinary consistency with genuine care.We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Best wishes,Laura L., Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora Team
