  Have this hotel now become a holiday colony for noisy children more than a hotel?

  I'm a little unsure, this time, about how many stars I should give this time. I just returned from a 14-day vacation. Again. Have been to Skyview many times now, back too to when the hotel was called Tenerife Wing. There's a reason I keep coming back. All the staff, throughout, are very friendly and welcoming. You are met with constant smiles and answers to any questions you may have. Great breakfast, with allergens in control. This time, however, there was something different in the guests. The hotel seemed more like a large holiday colony for kids. During the 14 days, there were many different groups of children living there. This resulted in a lot of noise and bad behavior. In the evenings, they played "catch me" in the hallways, shouting and screaming. There was often not peace until between 11 and 11:30 p.m. They found it funny too, to run up the stairs and press all the elevator buttons. At mealtime they walked past and pushed spoons so these fell into the food. When they took an elevator, they pressed all the buttons inside before they went out. When they played in the hallways there was no attention to other guests, and no apology when they ran into me and I fell into a wall. This were just a few examples. I am surely going to return to Puerto de la Cruz, and had ofcorse considered Skyview again for the next time.   Nice hotel looks very modern from outside, some of the rooms are a littleDated and we don’t have a kettle but hasn’t been an issue, they do buffet meals at breakfast and teatime for 18€ all smells nice we haven’t tried any yet but different themes each night, the pool area is stunning with the view of the volcano and modern setting also very nice bar downstairs quirky and pleasant Dirección Skyview, Director General at Skyview Hotel Tenerife, responded to this review Dear Frizma,We would like to express our gratitude for your kind words.   Not what we expected

  We booked through Love Holidays with pictures of modern rooms with good cooking facilities. We were in fact met with a substandard room with no air con, small mites crawling all over the kitchen and substandard cleanliness especially in bathroom. Our shower was either full pelt or nothing at all and we have had to cut our holiday short and book an early flight home due to not being able to sleepIn the hot rooms. However, staff all polite and lovely and helpful but certainly expectations and reality did not meet. Love Holidays shame on you.   Clean but slightly disappointing

  Stayed here for my 38th birthday at the end of January 2025.The hotel is clean but extremely basic. If you’re looking for lovely seaviews from your balcony then this definitely not the place for you. There were no pictures/paintings on the walls or tv in the room and my balcony faced a block of flats. The bathroom was a decent largish wet room with a toilet and sink. There was no shower curtain/door which meant that having a shower would wet the majority of the bathroom/wetroom floor. The reception team were friendly and polite but when I asked for a room change as I was here for my birthday and my room nowhere near matched any of the rooms on their website I was simply told there’s nothing he could do about it or change my room which was very disappointing.The location is decent, there are a few shops within a 3min walking distance as well as the bus station and town is about a 10-15min stroll.
