    I have stayed at the Sol twice and we’re also returning at the end of the year - this is my second review on the hotel because I see so many people moaning. It is cheap for a reason - if you want luxury pay the extra and go elsewhere. Yes it can be loud at night especially if you stay in tower A next to Veronica’s strip but if you do some research before your trip you would have known that. Las Americas & Veronica’s is known for being the ‘party’ of Tenerife so if you want quiet stay in a different area. The rooms are basic but we have never had an issue with them as they are always equipped with everything you need and comfortable. Again can be loud in the corridors at night with people coming back from enjoying a night out. So what🤷🏼‍♀️ buy some earplugs?Staff have always been great with us and we’ve never had an issue with the food either. Once again - you get what you pay for! Always plenty of choice though. We don’t stay around the pool as that’s probably the only thing we do dislike about the hotel as it does appear dirty but we take ourselves over to the beach club a 5 minute walk along the front were you can rent a sunbed all day and enjoy the sea pool & restaurant. We have some fab memories in this hotel and it’s always a laugh because that’s what we come away for so when you see reviews on the hotel being judged for noise that is completely out of they’re control it seems unfair. Go have a laugh and enjoy your holiday☀️☀️

    Checking to the hotel was smooth and painless, I had already emailed the hotel in advance, asking for a room on the inside facing the pool, this was ignored and we got our room facing Veronica's next door. Views are fantastic, but if you are hoping for a peaceful night's sleep, forget it when facing this way. Noise and music up until 4am. The hotel will provide you with ear plugs if you ask, but these have minimal effect.The room itself was very clean and tidy. We didn't use the AC. We stayed at half board, and the food on offer was plentiful , with a good choice. Only one bar open, which was the poolside bar. Inside bar and sitting area not in use at the time we stayed. Beware, you do have to use a token to get a cup, which is a bit of a pain. The gym was closed with no reason given as to why. Pool area clean and tidy with plenty of beds available , although as the season progresses, this won't be the case.Staff on reception very helpful.Overall, I wouldn't class this as a 4star more like a 3 star.Wouldn't class it as a family hotel seemed like there were a lot of male groups staying

    Absolute disgrace of a Hotel be very careful the cleaning staff are thieves taking money out of suitcases the place is full of loud single youths playing loud music and shouting until all hours the staff do nothing about it when reported. The whole place is a hell hole

    2 STRANGE MEN ENTERED HOTEL ROOM AT 3.30am

    Fkn shocking experience - 2 RANDOM MEN entered my partner’s & I’s room around 3.30am. The hotel security & reception staff were no help whatsoever… neither of us could settle. It took far longer than it needed to to be relocated to a new room for the rest of the night. we had to move hotel next morning to the Mediterranean palace to continue our holiday. SOL Tenerife is located in a bad area surrounded by pick pocketers & r@pists. I would never stay here again. My partner was absolutely petrified as anyone would be of two strange men entered your room unwelcomely.
