Location

Located by the sea and against a spectacular backdrop of cliffs, the hotel is situated in the southwest of the island. It is close to the Puerto de Santiago tourist area with banking services, shops, bars, supermarkets and more. Santa Cruz is around 100 km from the hotel.

Facility

5 suites and 215 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     The room!

    Good food and service in both the main and lunchtime restaurants 2 stars are for these.Reception understaffed and only interested in their favourite regular clients.No fruit or wine in room on arrival nor chocolates on departure as on all previous visits. Allocated room, E012, bore no resemblance to picture on website nor to those previosly experienced. Small room and balcony. No sofa or luggage rack. Open plan bathroom with no lock. No lock as no door, just a metre wide opening. No door as no door frame. No frame as no solid walls, just 3/4 high green perspex sheets. No privacy! TuI hotel reception staff, management, reps and customer service believe this to be acceptable. Hence no stars and referred to trading srandards breaking trade description act and ABTA..We have visited this hotel many times but not again. Very disappointed as like the area and enjoy the atmosphere but feel let down by and unable to trust tui.

    Disappointing customer service !!

    I am re-writing my original review after meeting with the TUI manager today. The good points of this hotel - The food is lovely and the restaurant staff are amazing.The entertainment is what you would expect and the entertainment staff and bar staff are also great. The room I am staying in is room 4016 and is cleaned everyday and is spacious and well presented. Our holiday did not start off great. Our TUI flight was delayed be an hour and we then had an hour wait stood inside the airport waiting for the hotel transfer at 1am in the morning, tired and hungry. On arrival in the early hours of Monday morning, we had a bottle of cava and a lovely cold meat and cheese salad waiting for us. The bed wqs comfortable so we slept soundly until we were awoken by the construction work going on outside the hotel. This construction work was not disclosed to us when we booked so we were unable to make an informed decision about the location of our room and the impact this would have on our holiday. We like to sit on our balcony each morning and relax, enjoying a coffee before breakfast, but this is not possible. Because TUI have no idea what times of the day the construction will take place, it is impossible to know when relaxing on the balcony will be possible. After meeting with the TUI rep Clive and being told there was nothing they could do other then speak to the reception staff and ask for a room change, as ‘ the powers that be do not deem the construction work necessary to disclose to customers’ I then asked the reception staff for a room change and said I was willing to pay for an upgrade to achieve the relaxing holiday a had planned, free from the noise of construction work. I was told by the reception staff that no other rooms were available and there was nothing they could do. Fours days later … TUI staff approached me to say that they had sent messages to me via the BLUE app stating that I could upgrade my room at the relevant room cost, away from the noise, or be moved to another room in the same side of the building were the construction is taking place !! I had not received these messages due to the WIFI not working in the hotel. Today is Friday and after finally being able to receive messages via the BLUE app, I met with Alex who has waved the late check fee and apologised for the inconvenience. TUI have acknowledge my complaint but have said they will not be informing travellers of the construction work. My advice would be if you do not intend on using your balcony during the day you will be fine to stay at the front of the hotel, otherwise book away from the ongoing road works as they are expected to last a while. TUI did not know how long !! My review is 3 star based on the terrible customer service from TUI staff I dealt with initially, and the hotel reception staff at the beginning of my holiday, NOT the other staff.My experience would have so much better if a quick note had been popped under my door instead of relying on the BLUE app. I would then have been aware of the possible room change at the beginning of my holiday rather then at end and if the hotel staff on reception had actually bothered to check the room availability in the first instance.

    This is our third visit to this hotel, previous visits have been in January.The hotel is very good in all aspects, cleanliness, service, food etc.The pool area is spotless and the staff remove any towels left before 9 o'clock, which is good. The pool bar serves excellent food at lunch time, and the restaurant also caters for all tastes at breakfast and evening meal.     We had an amazing time again.We go to this hotel at least once a year. Food is fab, staff very good.Special mention to Christian who ran the table tennis. He really is very good.     Brilliant hotel and staff but Brits dictating the sunbeds.

    Love the staff who make everything perfect from reception to dining and house keeping. The bar staff work 150% getting the drinks. Second visit in two years. The food exceptional and always lots of choices. We noticed a few changes which reduce the carbon impact etc with unnecessary bathroom freebies, soaps very small & plenty of body wash in the shower. Only issues we had were a set of Brits 70+ repeat customers who don’t like other guests occupying the ground floor terrace as they are all part of a WhatsApp group and make it very clear from the verbal checking us out that by using two sunbeds it will push someone’s nose out of joint? Unbelievable and it lets the hotels standards down. We had been there a week when we were confronted by two Brit sun bed over the age of 75! Not fare on other guests so for this reason we won’t return. So underhanded and they forced staff to remove a towel from a 86 year old guest who put her towel down and went for breakfast. I too was having a bad mobility day and didn’t feel like walking further so totally out of order. We are unable to police the behaviour and attitude of other guests, as this would be outside the bounds of our permissable interactions with any guest, as long as these don't violate any legal boundaries.The new sunbed policy is avoiding the previous problem of guests reserving sunbeds early and not using them for a long time, causing other guests not to be able get a sunbed. Therefore, all towels laid down before 9.30 am without the guests being present physically will be removed. For our guests with mobility issues, we offer the use of slighly higher and wider sunbeds free of cost. They will be booked for them any day of their stay they wish to use the pool.Again, we are sorry for your experience.In the hope you might reconsider your decision, we send you our best regards
