  The Mary Celeste of hotels

  We stayed on a trip from Madrid to Toledo whilst heading to Alicante. Located about 15 minutes outside Toledo at the side of a golf course. We regretted the decision pretty much on arrival. The building is large and well appointed and overlooks the golf course. Sadly it would appear that there were no other guests, failing that they were hiding in the large disused building next door! Reception staff were helpful and friendly, the room was large and well appointed but just felt like it hadn’t been used recently. The fridge unit still carried letters saying that it wasn’t filled due to Covid , as it was full but with no prices we assumed that this was a holdover to the previous pandemic. Or perhaps getting organised for the next one. Despite a full fridge there was no milk or milk powder for drinks, or a price list to indicate the basis they’d been supplied on. We decided to take down the sealed extra duvet as it was cold , only to find large pieces of red stain - blood make up we weren’t sure. Really off putting The bar was closed when we arrived at about 5 in the afternoon and may as well have been when we arrived back about ten 30 pm All in all we were genuinely dissapointed and couldn’t reccomend any one staying here . Perhaps with more guests it might have been better but we won’t be back

  Hotel generally good, staff, room and breakfast very good The hotel is about five minutes from the village for all your needs.As I said the hotel was good, but in area that was never finished off, not a problem for us, a car is a must, plenty of free parking at the hotel.

  This hotel could be so much better, our room was fine, large comfy bed and clean, pretty standard for 4 star hotel. However the bar and the pool were closed, the exterior needs some attention, leaking pipes, overgrown gardens, so it felt abandoned. I am still not sure how a 4 star hotel can still use 4 stars with no bar or pool ? lots of parking and lovely front desk staff.

  But we were lucky because there was just a handful people there.Room was very big - we used the sofabed as well - which is compfy but very squeaky.TV is not in the right spot for relaxing watching TV.Bathroom was great - with lots of bits + bobs in it.Breakfast was superexcellent - not cheap (11 Euros per person)

  Clean, comfortable and friendly.Tea and coffee facilities in the room, plenty of parking.Service could be sharper, the staff should focus on job in hand and not be distracted.Food was very good but menu limited.
