    Comfortable room and good location

    rating16 Jan 2026

Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Hotel is located near the interstate, but not near enough for noise to be an issue. There are lots of stores and places to eat in the immediate area. The evening desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. There is a decent fitness room and a small indoor pool here as well. My main complaint would have to be the breakfast. When we checked in, we took the breakfast voucher instead of the points, but were never given a physical voucher. When we arrived for breakfast the next morning, we sat and waited for a menu (as there was an option between a few menu items or the buffet and I wanted one of the menu items). No one ever acknowledged that we were there, even though we could see the cook and the desk clerk from our seat. After a long wait, we just got up and helped ourselves to the buffet. The buffet was a standard hotel breakfast like those found at a Sleep Inn or Days Inn. When we left breakfast (after still not being acknowledged), my husband stopped to let them know that we had used our "vouchers" for breakfast only to be told that breakfast was free for everyone that morning. That's great, but why weren't we told that the night before so we could take the points?

    WORST STAY EVER, WORST HOTEL

    rating25 May 2025

BEST PART OF THE STAY WAS CHECKING OUT A DAY EARLY. THIS HOTEL IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER STAYED IN....WE HAD TO CHECK OUT EARLIER THAN WE SHOULD HAVE, AND THEY REFUSED A REFUND. WE CHECKED OUT AFTER A SERIES OF INCIDENTS...FIRST NO IRONING BOARD, SO WE ASKED FOR ONE AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS ONE THERE. WE ASSURED THEM THERE WAS NOT, SO THE FRONT DESK REP INVADED OUR SPACE AFTER UNPACKING TO "SEARCH OUR ROOM" FOR THE BOARD. FINALLY SAW THAT THERE WAS NONE AND BROUGHT ONE BACK. WE WERE TOLD THE WATER BOTTLES IN THE PANTRY WERE FREE TO GUESTS, BUT WERE CHARGED. WE ALSO STATED THERE WAS A LOUD DRIPPING SOUND IN THE BATHROOM WALL, WHICH HE DISMISSED AS NOTHING. IT WAS ANNOYING. THE WALL PAPER IN THE BATH WAS PEELING. THE ROOM HAD NO OVERHEAD LIGHTING ACCEPT IN THE ENTRYWAY....A TOTAL OF 2 TABLE LIGHTS. ONE AT THE BEDSIDE AND ONE AT THE DESK. THE ROOM IS DARK AND BLAND. BATH WAS WELL LIT BUT THERE WAS NO SPACE AT THE SINK TO PLACE YOUR TOILETRIES. WHEN I WENT TO DRY MY HAIR, THE HAIR DRYER WAS SO DIRTY AND STICKY, IT LITERALLY STUCK TO MY HAND. JUST WHAT YOU WANT AFTER BATHING....IT WAS DISGUSTING. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN. THE FOLKS IN THE NEXT ROOM DECIDED TO TURN THEIR TV VOLUME UP AFTER 11PM SO IT WAS BLARING. WE DID COMPLAIN AND THEY TURNED IT DOWN. HOWEVER, DURING THE NIGHT THERE WERE SEXCAPADES HAPPENING, AND AGAIN IN THE MORNING, YOU COULD HEAR THEM IN THE SHOWER. GOOD FOR THEM, BUT WE COULD NOT SLEEP. THAT WAS IT. WE CHECKED OUT THAT MORNING AND THE GAL AT THE DESK WAS NOT APOLOGETIC AT ALL....IN HER CRUMPLED UP TSHIRT (SHOULD HAVE OFFERED OUR ROOM IRONING BOARD TO HER) SHE REFUSED TO REFUND ANYTHING. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. IT MADE SUCH A DISGUSTING IMPRESSION ON US THAT WE DO NOT INTEND TO STAY AT ANY GARDEN HILTON EVER AGAIN. WE ARE NOT SNOBS. WE JUST EXPECT OUR SERVICE TO BE WHAT WE PAY FOR. WE WORK HARD FOR OUR MONEY.,

    Not the best experience.

    rating26 Oct 2024

The staff was absolutely delightful but the whole experience just lacked a lot. The buffet breakfast ($10) was less than lackluster. The sausage and eggs were ice cold, no bacon, no water or fruit (oranges but in half in plastic bags). The room was sizable and had a nice refrig and working space. A lot of outlets for charging located all around the room. The bathroom was clean to the look but had an overwhelming smell of mold. No matter what was done, for two days, the smell remained. I was disappointed in that in was not typical for a Hilton Garden Inn.

Overbooked, walked.. and yet hilton.com still shows rooms!

    rating19 Apr 2024

I'm a HHonors gold member, and have been gold or diamond for the past at least 20 years. I booked this hotel on hilton.com, but as I was arriving they called to tell me they had no rooms, but "oh, we will cancel your reservation and won't charge you" cheerfully. I asked about compensation or assistance with finding another hotel and was told politely no, we don't have to do that. Legally they are correct, but generally hotels won't walk their most loyal members. And I probably would not have trashed them with a review like this - EXCEPT - I went on hilton.com to look for another hotel right after they called, and they still came up with rooms available and I could have made another reservatsion. Come on guys - get your act together! And everyone else - beware - if you are arriving late you might want to call even if you have a reservation - or better yet, just book elsewhere.

    Worst hotel stay ever

    rating03 Feb 2024

My husband and I reserved online based on rating and spent the worst night ever in this hotel. I've always like staying at Hiltons. This one was MMRO (meets minimum requirements only). Checked in on 2/2 7:30 PM and I was stunned--Hilton used to have better standards. From the cheapest toilet tissue to the common use pump dispensers of soap, shampoo, etc. to the 2 only coffee pods for in-room Keurig. Oh, and I chose this particular Hilton because it was described as having a restaurant and bar. What a joke! Next to the reception counter there were a few refigerated microwavable food items. That was it! Then there were the guests who partied in the lobby, hooping and hollaring past 1:00AM. The night clerk did ask them to hold it down once we called the front desk. He also responded immediately to clean up the bathroom floor when the toiler overflowed upon flushing. Once a Hilton Honors member, I will never stay at another Hilton. Holly Baugess, Guest Services / Front Office at Hilton Garden Inn Columbus/Grove City, responded to this review Tricia A772,We apologize for your unsatisfactory experience. We are looking into these issues and making the necessary changes. We actually do have a restaurant and bar on premises. No sure why you only saw our market place products. We always take loud guests very seriously and we are happy that our Front Desk Agent was able to help with the bathroom. If you would like to return please call the Manager and it will be seen to that everything you need is provided. A. Ward, AGM
