    Misleading name: "Cosy rooms" Embajador, floor 3

    Though we've booked and prepayed 5 overnight stays, my husband and I were accommodated in a rather small, uncomfortable and miserable room at Embajador, floor 3, that had not been renovated since many years. Warn out stuff, uncomfortable pillows, dirty towels and malfunctioning bathroom, so that one could not take a shower. No space for suitcases, no table and no chairs inside the room. After we have complained, we were given another poor and warn out room at Embajador on floor 3. The name "Cosy rooms" is misleading! Overall the ambience in this old building is rather depressive and these rooms are overrated and overpriced. Poor breakfast. Outdated photos/images on their site that mislead people. Dissatisfying experience in Valencia. Sunshine cannot compensate for the low quality services they provide.

    Location is perfect, although a litlle noisy and dirty on the street.The check in service is not great. After a long travel time you want this to go smooth.The room is not hygienic. There is sever dirty mold in the bathroom which is disgusting when you are washing or brushing your teeth.Conclusion: overpriced even for this location

    Difficult to check in. It is in a no car zone so you have to walk in with luggage. Had trouble finding it and reception is not at the hotel it is at a different hotel so that was a separate trip. The receptionist was just plain rude. The room had mold in the shower, the door to which is falling apart. In general there were marks and scars on furniture, odd flourescent light fixtures mounted to the wall. Not a quality place to stay.

    We had a room booked for New Years Eve but unfortunately the Flight was cancelled just after I'd booked the Hotel room. I explained this to the Hotel but even though I gave them 2 months notice of cancellation and it wasn't my fault, they refused to do a refund. Quite astonishing really as they would obviously be booked out on New Years Eve. Won't rebook at this Hotel when we rebook our flights and that is for sure.

    We were really excited for our stay in Valencia but I have to say the hotel was a let down. Not only is check in at another hotel so you have to drag your luggage from one place to another but the room itself is set up very odd. There is a private bathroom but the sink is in the bedroom beside by the bed. So every trip to the toilet meant walking back out and around the bed to the other side. This disturbed both of us many times when one or the other had to get up during the night. The biggest issue was when we decided to have a lay in one morning and the cleaner just let herself in. In seconds another came in without knocking and asked us if we wanted any water. Thank god we were clothed and only sleeping!! Also, the lobby smelled like cigarette and on our final day we saw why, one of the staff members was smoking at the table. Just awful.
