    Great hotel let down by cold breakfast

    The hotel is in a great location with very easy access to the airport by metro, direct on lines 3/5 and only 7 minutes walk from two metro stops.It's also only 15 minutes walk through pedestrian streets to Old Town and all the main sights like the cathedral, market and so close to many shops, restaurants and main train station.The hotel sits in a side street and is very quiet. There is a nice lounge at the reception with plenty seating and bar service. We were treated to a welcome drink of aqua de valencia.The room was large, spotless and had a large bathroom with a great shower and plenty storage room for bags and clothes. There was also a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, a free bottle of water and a mini fridge. Ideal.We found the bed and pillows a bit firm for our liking but that's just our preference.We had the breakfast which was a bit of a disappointment. It all looked great, plenty choice of pastries, bread, cold meat, cheese and salad but it was really let down by the hot food.We were there three mornings including a 7.30am start and every morning the scrambled eggs and bacon were cold,not even lukewarm but cold. The coffee wasn't the best either so unfortunately not the best start to the day but I'd still recommend this hotel. We had a great three night stay.

    I believe this hotel to be a four star hotel, and the breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice. We booked the Annex which was cheaper (across the road but very close) as we needed twin bedded rooms confirming. I would say our room in the Annex was fairly basic, like a 2-3 star hotel would have. Small room, large tv, decent bathroom with frosted glass instead of walls between the bedroom and bathroom. There was a large tv on the wall and some sort of clothes rack which serves as a wardrobe. No kettle. The best thing about this hotel is the position, being close to the Old Town and train station.

    This is an excellent hotel: close to the two train stations and historic centre. The rooms in the main hotel are a good size. The breakfast was excellent and started early, 7.30. We also liked the late check out time, up to 12pm.

    We took a taxi from Joaquín Sorolla Station ($8) and arrived at the hotel, which is tucked away on a quiet side street. Don’t let the discreet entrance fool you. The lobby is welcoming and nicely decorated.As a family of 3, we booked the Junior room and were blown away by how spacious it was—truly huge, even by American hotel standards. It was a very comfortable space to relax after a long day.The breakfast was generous and had a nice variety: eggs, fresh fruit, sliced meats, bread, yogurt, pastries, coffee, tea, and juice.The location was also very convenient. It’s just a few blocks to a bus and metro stop, and about an 8 minute walk to La Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The cathedral is about a 15 minute walk. We always felt safe walking back to the hotel at night, whether from the plaza or the nearby transit stops.Overall, a great stay—comfortable, convenient, and safe.
