  I can’t really give this hotel either a bad or a glowing review — it was just okay overall. The staff were lovely and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, but the hotel itself was very basic and definitely not what I would consider four-star standard.In our first room, the air conditioning didn’t work. To their credit, the staff did try to fix it, and when that wasn’t possible they moved us to another room. The second room was larger and the air conditioning worked perfectly, but again, the room itself felt very basic.The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. I’ve honestly never had such a poor breakfast experience at a hotel, and on our last day we decided to skip it entirely and eat elsewhere. There was no buffet or fresh bread available. My husband ordered a toastie, which turned out to be made with cheap white sliced bread with the crusts cut off, and it looked like it had barely touched the toaster. All in all if you are looking for basic hotel in the centre this is a great choice, but it was very expensive for what we received. I would definitely not book again!

  Beautiful hotel with great staff

  As a group of 5 girls, visiting Valentia for the 1st time, Marques house is located in great spot in the city. On arrival, we were greated by a very friendly receptionist named Daniel. Throughout our stay he was so helpful, always offering recommendations and with a smile. The rooms were spotless, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bar was gorgeous and had a lovely atmosphere. We even enjoyed some drinks on their rooftop bar. I would definitely recommend and looking forward to a return stay sometime soon.   Best ever hotel ! - Valencia

  We stayed here for the first time for a short trip, four days in total. The hotel was wonderful, it was in such a great location and super easy to walk to all the city's sights and restaurants. Rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, with a wide selection. The whole experience was fantastic, and we had a wonderful time. We would like to personally thank the following staff for their attentiveness and kindness during our stay. They were all so nice and helpful.   Lovely stay - highly recommend

  We had a wonderful few days in this hotel. Staff extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. Bed super comfortable. Very centrally placed for visiting Valencia. Breakfast well worth booking - a real highlight each morning. Some lovely extra, thoughtful touches such as a complimentary cocktail from hotel bar, chilled water bottles daily, surprise bottle of wine/glasses delivered on tray one afternoon.   Perfect location to explore this amazing city

  So much to recommend this hotel. But let's get a negative out of the way. As mentioned there can be a lot of noise from a local bar. We experienced this on our first night. Feeling very sleep deprived and angry we complained that night and asked to be moved. This could not be accommodated as hotel was full. However the next day we received a very nice apology note and complementary bottle of wine from the hotel. Nice touch and thankfully the other 2 nights were much quieter.Breakfast is limited but enough for us. The location of the hotel is superb, minutes away from the main tourist areas. Room is first rate, good size and very clean. I'll finish by leaving special mention to Pablo, who gave us a great introduction when we arrived and provided warm service throughout our stay.
