This city hotel lies in Benisanó, a peaceful town with around 2,000 inhabitants. What a pleasant surprise!

I was traveling through Velencia on the way to the Costa del Sol, and decided to stop in Benisano for the night. The Hotel Rioja came highly recommended on this site so I stayed here. I asked about dinner and they were kind enough to fit me in the dining room that night. The hotel was fine. The restaurant was OUTSTANDING! My companion and I tried a variety of dishes and all were not only delicious but prepared with a gourmet touch and complimented by some wonderful local wine. This restaurant was one of the highlights of my 2 week stay in Spain.

Have been here various times as I have family in a local village and its lovely. A little dearer than the usual place to eat but its worth it. Quality of food is amazing and the staff are lovely. Highly recommend

We visited this hotel twice this week.The second occasion was because not many restaurants was open due to the "Fire fiesta" in the city.However we were made welcome as if we were regulars and once again the food and wine was really very enjoyable and we chose the same meal Salmon and chips as it was so good the first time. Its rare to get propper chips in Spain but they certainly know how to make chipsThis is a review of the restaurant NOT the hotel

I go to this hotel restaurant when I have guests. They do a wicked salmon and fries. The salmon is cooked to perfection but the portion of fries is small and you leave, still a bit hungry; They also have the very best Estrella beer in the area. During the summer, they have bands playing outside.You can drive through Benesano in less than 30 seconds but you will miss a great beer and very tasty salmon.

We came to Benisano to checkout the Irish pub but only to find that it closes at 2pm on the weekend!! On the plus side we did see a bull being antagonised on the street.We then stopped off at the hotel for a bite to eat but we found it to be rather expensive compared to many places in around the area. Nevertheless the waitress was very cute.
