    Great location close to major sights and lovely bars and restaurants. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. The gym is very small and there is not a pool - I did not use the spa but I think there is a plunge pool in there. I do think that they should make it clearer when booking that suites are not in the hotel - we only found out after our booking had all gone through.We were in suite 600 which did feel like we were in a basement and was on ground level so the windows didn’t open and we had to keep the curtains drawn. The suite is well equipped if you want to self cater but there were some strange designs and safety issues eg curtains overhang bed, no phone in room despite reception saying ring 100 for anything, bed is in an alcove so hard to reach anything on bedside tables, the bedside lamp electrics sparked and we are not sure if this was looked at as we just unplugged it and the entire plug socket came out in my hand when I tried to unplug the hairdryer. I think this is expensive for what you get.

    Excellent Hotel in Fantastic Position

    Book-in was very easy and we were let into our room (penthouse) early - which was generous of them. Staff were friendly and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The penthouse is spacious if perhaps a little under furnished for the sheer size of it. We had the sofa set up as a bed and found this to be as equally comfortable as the super king sized bed at the other side of the room. Everything super clean & in good condition, bathrooms spacious - one with a king size bath the other with walk in shower. As mentioned by others the terrace is overhung by the air-conditioning system and noisy but we did eat our breakfasts here - pay for it use it! The market was just across the plaza so we bought the makings of our breakfasts rather than use the hotels cafe (16 euros for breakfast). Market sells everything including wonderful sourdough bread, sweet breakfast buns along with huge choice of meats, cheese, fruit & juices. Would stay again.     Great Location, Fantastic Staff but No Spar and Lift Failed

    Even though expensive, we booked MYR Plaza Mercado Spar, Valencia specifically to give us a great, relaxing week's break to celebrate my birthday. The central location is so convenient, the large suite comfortable and breakfast menu / service excellent. ALL the staff were BRILLIANT, so friendly, smiling and helpful - especially Ray, Lina, Valeria who went 'Over and Above' to assist and make us 'feel at home'. Well done! However, we were very unhappy & dissapointed that there was No Spar and the lift broke down early on!! Given these failures, we might have expected MYR management to have offered a goodwill discount (say 20% ??) - but No Nothing!! Sadly, they just left it to the staff to apologise. PS: We were told (well after booking but before arrival) that the Spa had failed - but only after all the other hotels were full for our stay - so we had no choice but to put up with being let down by MYR.     Just returned home after a family trip to Valencia for 3 nights. We decided to stay at MYR Hotel Plaza Mercado because of all the previous great reviews. It did not disappoint. We loved it. Excellent communication between reservation and arrival, central location with many shops, restaurants and services on the doorstep. A lovely welcome (we arrived early), a welcome drink and then led to our beautiful, clean, modern apartment. Couldn't ask for more, thank you MYR Hotel Plaza Mercado.     This hotel deserves a higher place in the tripadvisor rankings. Large rooms with everything you could want. For such a central location, the room was quiet, the aircon was such that no open windows were needed and these had effective shutters to keep the room dark at night. Comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchenette considering it probably will be underused, Nespresso machine (but bring your own teabags!) the television even had all the mainstream UK channels.As another reviewer mentioned the hotel is a short walk from Xativa metro station which is on two direct lines from the airport with a 25 min journey. A ten trip Metro card (shareable between two people) which covers Tube, tram and bus cost us €13 at the airport booking office. I was temmpted to knock off a star due to the kitchen's habit of serving cooked breakfasts on cold plates but the other plusses outweigh this small niggle.
