Quality hotel on the Royal Mile

    rating30 Apr 2026

Fabulous hotel, great location on the Royal Mile. We were visiting for a golden wedding party. The staff were lovely, food was great - at the event and breakfast! We even had a surprise upgrade to a huge room which was a bonus. Would happily stay there again when I’m back!

Miguel (Ruth and Natasha) were most helpful front desk staff!

    rating30 Apr 2026

A fabulous stay in a fabulous room! We were happily impressed by the very very helpful front desk staff namely Miguel who went above and beyond in his help to resolve our arrival snafu. Ruth and Natasha further added to our positive experience with the front desk staff as they exemplified the spirit of customer service. The combination of all three of their patience and detail-oriented nature and customer oriented attitude is the reason we will choose again this and other Radisson properties in the future. We will be back. Highly recommended! Super location, but pricy!

Typical Radisson Blu. Location is ofcourse execellent, right in the middle of the city. Walking distance to everywhere you need in the Old Town.Hotelwise, could do better I think. breakfast was not as rich as the other Blus around, the bed was a bit lumpy and sunken, but I did have a corner couch in my room which is a first! :)But room was clean and quiet even though I was right next to the elevators and staff was ofcourse very polite and nice! Joanne Lunney, Guest Services / Front Office at Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we very look forward to welcome you back in the future! Kind regards,

Definitely not worth the price charged

    rating18 Apr 2026

Stayed at this hotel the last two nights of a ten day group tour of the Scottish Highlands. The room was small with rundown furniture and carpet. Constant trouble with the room key, replaced 3x. Only two small pillows provided for a King sized bed. We had no soap or shampoo the day we arrived. Requested refills at the front desk immediately. Finally got some the morning we were leaving. Tiny elevators supposedly rated for 9 would only hold four adults, or two with baggage. Our bath had a half glass door, leaving half the tub/shower open with no curtain. Impossible to shower without getting water all over the floor. There was a large and well established colony of black mold living in the tile grout. Tall tub, 30"+. Difficult to step over to get in and out of the shower without slipping. Sixty grit scratchy towels, some of the worst I've ever had in a hotel anywhere. Have they never heard of fabric softener? The water temp in the shower was luke warm at best and then only after letting it run for 5 minutes. Our water heater for coffee/tea was in need of a thorough cleaning. One of the two provided coffee cups was dirty/used. There was a peculiar 1.75" step up into the bath, just enough to stump the crap out of your toes in the dark. There was a sign in the lobby warning guests of thieves working the area. The morning breakfast buffet was semi-organized chaos. They put out entire loaves of unsliced bread, but provided a cutting board and a serrated knife. I saw several people handling the unsliced loaf with their bare hands to cut off a piece and leaving the rest for the next person. Great way to spread disease. Mediocre scrambled eggs with puddles of water in them (most likely made from powdered eggs), cold, greasy hash browns, some under-ripe melon, and fruit that was beyond peak. Coffee was instant from a machine. Juices tasted watered down. Definitely wouldn't go back. I expect a lot more out of a $400/night hotel room.
