  Extremely disappointed by their Customer Service

  Extremely disappointed by how this accommodation handled guest service. Due to a major travel disruption caused by an airline strike, we were unable to reach the destination. We contacted the property several times to ask for a simple change of dates.I fully understand that booking policies exist, and I was not even insisting on a refund. But this situation was completely outside our control, and we had hoped for some basic courtesy and flexibility. Instead, they refused any date change and incorrectly claimed they were merely following the booking provider’s policy. After contacting the booking provider directly, I was told in writing that any exception was entirely at the discretion of the property.So no, they were not responsible for the travel disruption itself — but they were absolutely responsible for how they chose to respond to it. Refusing even a postponement in these circumstances reflects very poor customer service. Offering only the cleaning fee back out of nearly €800 made the experience even worse.Overall, a very disappointing and unhelpful experience.

  Pros and cons of Seaview Modern Apartment Alboraya Spain

  Sea view apartment is somewhat a misnomer, as we get to see a partial view of the Mediterranean from our little balcony, But it remains a pleasant apartment, for 2 or 3 people.It is hard to imagine a group of 6 living in this limited space, that has just the one bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a pull-out sofa in the living-room. The sofa can seat 3 people at most, and it is unfortunately quite uncomfortable for that purpose. There are 4 dining-room chairs plus 4 patio chairs.Our host is a courteous young man who has responded quickly and positively to our requests, for such things as ice cube trays, a rubber mat for the walk-in shower floor, extra hangers. Given this is low season, he even got us complimentary underground parking for the duration of our stay (3 weeks) which was an attractive bonus.The apartment is located within a complex of 3 large buildings that surround a very broad courtyard with a big swimming pool, children’s playgrounds and 2 paddle tennis courts.We are on the third floor and our view is of the building facing us on the other side of the courtyard. For all intents and purposes, the tennis courts are in constant use, from 10 am to 10 pm. Most times, there are 4 players on each court and the noise from their rackets becomes unnerving after a while. This is a lively community unto itself, with people speaking loudly, children screaming, babies crying, dogs barking. Several other ‘surprises’ awaited us unfortunately, and I feel we need to be transparent about what to expect if you stay here. First off, the apartment is better suited for short-term rentals, and preferably Spaniards, given, for instance, that TV is totally in Spanish with not a single channel in any other language. Lucky that Netflix is provided, but we were stunned to realize that, even though there are 3 TV sets in the apartment, they must all be watching the same Netflix show at the same time. Owners have not provided for multiple Netflix accounts. The kitchenette is too small for 2 people to work in it, and has very little storage space for food. It offers all of the large appliances one needs, but otherwise, it is poorly equipped, with few pots and cooking utensils. There isn’t even a vegetable peeler. All large utensils are rigid metal whereas the pans are teflon coated. If you plan to do actual cooking, you will need to bring your own paraphernalia or demand that the owner purchase them for the apartment. We barely managed and made do with what was available. There are a clothes washer and dryer however, which are a real asset. And you’ll likely be provided with basics such as toilet paper, paper towels, salt (but no other spices), oil, coffee pods, assorted cleaning products, dishwasher and liquid dish soaps. A cleaning lady comes once a week and does a cursory job, changing the linens and cleaning as much as she can within the hour allotted to her.We were a bit taken aback by the fact that the tap water wasn’t potable, to the extent that we didn’t even use it for cooking purposes and were advised to use a side tap with fresh water supply in the kitchen sink. We had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink.The mattresses on our beds were very firm, so be advised.Security measures are excellent. We can walk to the beach. The city of Valencia is just a few kilometres away. There are plenty of restaurants and a nearby grocery store in Alboraya/Patacona and neighboring beach towns. There is also a small hospital at Malva-Rosa Beach which is next to ours. Rooms can be fully darkened and have lots of storage. Heating and air conditioning are central and work well. Given that everybody travels with computers nowadays, and some even work during their vacations, a desk would have been most appreciated. This apartment could have placed one, even if it was a narrower shelf at the appropriate height.Respectfully submitted,Sandra Theriault

  so, we booked on the road, thinking it's Valencia ,which it isn'tOur bad experience started with trying to find the place - the reception was 300 metres away, and the older guy there showed us the wrong staircase, so at 11pm I was trying the wrong door and a woman screamedThen we got back in the car and tried to find the correct place - very difficult , much time wsted and everybody exhausted , and we are good navigatorsthe pool was closed ,this being mid Octoberflat itself was nice , except the loose front door lock , it could be good in summer , if you stay a week, ust don't arrive late

  Excellent complex and located very close to a superb beach.

  Rented a penthouse suite which had a roof top solarium which got plenty of use throughout the day and we’ll into the evening. It was clean, tidy and comfortable, the air conditioning was tremendous. The only thing I’d say is it was a bit tired in some areas but this wasn’t a major issue and didn’t affect what was a superb fortnights holiday for us. The facilities on site were spot on ,the pool was spacious and clean attended by lifeguards during opening times . The restaurant/bar on site has a great range of food and drink. For piece of mind there is visible security on site along with cctv monitoring of the perimeter and access is by electronic tag at the gate. The location of the facility is and was for us ideal as it is just across the road from an excellent beach, which was very clean where again there are lifeguards in attendance and bar shacks dotted along at regular intervals that serve food and drinks of a good standard. The beach front promenade is an excellent walk and takes you to numerous bars and restaurants the majority of which are toward the far end which is around a kilometre, so not far and is a very pleasant walk. We used several of them throughout our stay and the food was of a good quality and reasonable price. To get in to Valencia was a breeze there is a great bus service , number 31 was rather main one, the stop being a two minute walk from the apartments, they ran about every ten minutes and took about 25 minutes to get to the center and cost 1 € 50 regardless of where you got off. A taxi only cost approx €15 . There are a couple of small shops close by and the main ‘Consum’ supermarket is about 1km walk and it has everything you need. The area itself is not as commercialised which was not a problem to us although there were occasionally problems with communication as there aren’t as many English speaking so it would be worth brushing up on your Spanish. Overall superb holiday in what was for us the ideal location to get away from it all.

  What people don't tell you about this complex is that they close the pool in September and the area is a sea of horrible apartment blocks. The men at reception are rude. The cafe staff are very nice, but there's not much point being here without access to the pool. It's a bit like being at Butlins, but it's right on the motorway!
