  As an African man traveling and staying at Red Nest Hostel) Wednesday 20 November 2024 ) , I had an unpleasant and unsettling experience. On my second evening, at 11:00 PM, staff and a security guard entered my room to question if I was 'justified' to stay there. This happened despite having a confirmed reservation for two weeks.I looking for an affordable room In Benecelat, or russufa or away from the center. No deposit. I can rent to minimum 3 to 6 months.   Great location, small bathrooms, beds okay.

  Great location, facilties are okay. Bathrooms and showers are tiny. Beds are okay. Shared space is usually used by families and kids, lots of families with small children and babies during my stay. Roof top not really a place to hang out, but had a washer and dryer. I'd stay again for convenience of location, but all the events and kitchen are at the sister facility, might try their first.

  Red nest stop giving the customer the air conditioning…no one needs air con..open a window …or call yourself a hypocrite

  I just want to describe to you the difference between the RED NEST AND THE PURPOSE NEST.BUT before I let the truth slip, I want to say EVERY PERSON FROM THE GREAT FRANCISCOat the RED NEST who was calm and wonderful.. and as young as he is.. he took a leadership roleto help me… and i give him and other other young man in the PURPOSE NEST who was alsocalming / focussed and super super helpful to help me get through the confusion and mess.I emailed the RED NEST 2 days before I arrived telling them “i will be coming in very very late like 2 amin the morning.. “ and i apologized.. and i know everyone in the room will be sleeping.. but i am always super super attentive and try hard not to make a sound.Well, this time.. things collapse.First.. I KNOW i tried to get a ALL FEMALE ROOM. Whatever happened.. I took what they gave me which was mixed BUT I’M PRETTY 99% SURE I TRIED TO GET AN ALL FEMALE ROOM.I get into the room at 2 am.. and never before have i heard of a HOSTEL.. having AIR CONDITIONING.. NEVER.Why would you have AIR CON (WHICH IS A LUXURY) / (WHICH IS ALSO CLIMATE CHANGE / CLIMATE CHANGE? YOU ARE PAYING 100S OF EUROS A DAY FOR AIR CON? AND YOU KEEP MENTIONING AS YOUNG PEOPLE NON STOP “THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END.. SO I WOULD THINK NO AIR CONDITIONING BUT HOW ABOUT A CEILING FAN”I’M SPEAKING TO YOU RED NEST / HOSTEL OWNERSHIP.PLEEEEEEZE FOR GODS SAKE STOP THE AIR CONDITIONING.YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE YOUNG PEOPLE THROWING PAINT ON MONA LISA TO MAKETHEIR IDIOTIC POINT ABOUT “CLIMATE CHANGE” WHILE BLASTING NON STOP THE AIR CONDITIONING?WHAT HYPOCRITES.I DON’T NEED AIR CON.Just open a window the good old fashioned way.But nope.I get into the room, and there are 6 people in their bed, all wrapped up on blankets and more blankets to STAY WARM because the room was ALASKA!!and outside wait for it.. the temp was not even 75 degrees.Pleasant.not humid.not even warm.. there was a lovely breezeand these pussies.. are blasting the air condition?spending 100s of euros a minute on ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY WASTE?COME ON!So of course.. I get into the room and i am NOT GOING TO SLEEP FREEZING IN THIS ROOM.Because 9 out of 10 people are going to wake up SICK SICK SICKaid con like idiotic microwaves are DANGEROUS AND YOU GET SICK FROM THIS …RECONSTITUTED AIR?BEING SPREAD? BACTERIA? RECONSTITUTED AIR? DIRTY AIR?I BEG YOU RED NEST TO STOP THE AIR CON.Get some fans and BE DONE WITH THIS STUPIDITY.you are going to pay 100s and 100s of euros for air con.. for little cowardly menwho need air con.. in 70 degree pleasant / weather?The guy in the room spoke in spanish. and called me “an american puta”So.. i said.. fine.. “you think i’m an idiot and don’t know what you said.”The night manager.. said he would try to help me.. but there was nothingat 2 am in the morning.. so i had to sit all rest of night in the kitchen.It was a mess.Finally the next day at 7 am. they got me a bed in the all female room at the PURPOSE NEST.And I want to say this.. the min i walked into PURPOSE NEST.. i could seeit was NOTHING NOTHING like the red nest.There was more a CIVILIZED energy.The red nest was a FRATERNITY HOUSE…you could feel it.disgusting.But the Purpose Nest was calmer.Civilized.they even had breakfast.I just want to mention this.choose which one you want.but TO THE MANAGEMENT OF BOTH RED AND PURPOSE NEST.STOP THE AIR CON.Human beings can thrive without air con.. they have for centuries.Stop spoiling your customers with this garbage air con.no one needs it.OPEN A WINDOW.THAT IS ENOUGHYOUR CUSTOMERS WILL SLEEPNO ONE WILL SLEEP WHEN YOU HAVE A MACHINE ONTHAT IS SPEWING AND SPITTING DIRTY FILTHY RECONSITUTED AIRFROM A FILTHY MACHINE INTO YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE AND LUNGS.SERIOUSLY.YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS.the air con is a filthy device.open the windowand stop with the air con.

  Great Time Spent at the Red Nest Valencia ...Super Staff , Super Location , Super Clean , Interesting fellow travellers .. can sometimes be a bit noisy so would recommend ear plugs for use in case of noisy sleepers ..many thanks

  Stayed here for 2 days, we went on the pubcrawl and had so much fun! Made friends with other travellers and the great staff. We also went on the city tour that is set up with the hostel. The ac worked great too!
