  Quiet location just out of the main busy areas. Very good service and we had lovely big rooms overlooking the street. Staff organised a lunch booking at a restaurant we wanted to try, which was much appreciated. Didn’t try the breakfast. Not far away is Taverna La Samorra which was fantastic for a long lunch. Make sure you find the incredible ‘refugios’ (air raid shelters) that remain from the civil war - very moving to see. Russafa area over on the other side of the town hall is very cool and grungy!   Make sure you request a double bed !!

  While the hotel is in a great location, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. We arrived early and appreciated that staff allowed us to leave our luggage, as our room wasn’t ready until 4pm.When we finally checked in, we found that our “superior room with balcony overlooking the palace” had twin beds pushed together rather than a proper queen/king bed. When I raised this, I was told this was standard unless a specific request had been made, which was very disappointing and not clearly communicated at booking. This was ridiculous. I’ve never heard such nonsense. We were also told the hotel was fully booked and a change might only be possible the following day. The following day we got moved to the first floor, with a proper queen sized bed but I don’t quite understand why the long slim pillows that they use!!The room itself was quite basic and lacked thoughtful touches. In the bathroom, there was only one hook for towels I couldn’t manage to keep my towel on the hook, meaning they often ended up on the floor, with nowhere suitable to hang damp ones. The hairdryer being fixed in the bathroom was also inconvenient, as it made it difficult for more than one person to get ready at the same time. There are only 2 sachets of coffee and tea and 2 milk cartons supplied and no proper spoon which meant the next morning I had to drink black tea as I’d had a cup of coffee the previous evening as I gave my partner the remaining coffee and milk. Staff were generally polite but not particularly welcoming, and the overall service felt very average. We tried breakfast once, but didn’t feel it was worth returning for.Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially as this was our first trip to Valencia together. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel to any friends. Because we have 3 types of bed and not all the reservations want the same.   Stayed here for 3 nights during Las Fallas, what a fab location this hotel is, right in the center of Valencia. We had a standard room which means no balcony but a big window. The room has everything you need if you are just using it as a place to get ready and sleep.Clean hotel, lovely helpful staff.   Location good, breakfast a huge disappointment

  The hotel room was okay and it was clean and facilities in the room were okay, Location of the hotel was excellentthe breakfast was a huge disappointment. And in fact has to be one of the worst breakfast I have encountered in many travels ,Many items that were supposed to be hot were Eva at most barely warm and in many cases these items were very cold, the replenishment of items either for the hot or cold items seem to be very very frugal and almost as if they didn’t want to replace the items!! the coffee machines were a never-ending problem with people queueing and or leaving cups all over the place as the machine did not work very well at all, and the staff at breakfast although were not rude certainly could have been more approachable and friendly Natalia Dpto Calidad, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Boutique SH Ingles, responded to this review Dear Nick,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience.
