  Good location, very good breakfast and great staff!

  We were very happy with the hotel, it’s very central and close to a metro and many bus stations. In front of the building is a big shopping centre with supermarkets.All staff were very friendly! Randy specially impressed us with his kindness and performance doing his job at the restaurant. The room was big and good equipped but for us the breakfast was the highlight… We can 100% recommend Turia Hotel.   Very clean and comfortable city centre hotel with great staff.

  The location of the Hotel Turia is excellent with very easy access by car, metro (5 minutes flat walk) or even bus with the main bus station being next door. We booked a double room with parking and mailed the hotel in advance asking if I could park 3 hours earlier than the check in time of 3pm; the hotel replied within minutes saying that would be fine …. and it was. Hotel car park is easy to find and access and the parking bays were surprising large for a hotel underground car park. We had a very pleasant welcome from reception who advised our room would be ready in an in hour which was still 2 hours earlier than the advertised check in time. The hotel reception, lobby and bar area are extremely well presented and all staff gave a cheerful hello. After popping out for lunch we checked in and we’re given a room on the top (10th) floor so we had a great panoramic view over the city. The room was spacious and very clean but certainly needs decorative attention especially the bathroom - the mastic around the bath etc looked exceptionally unpleasant. The beds were comfy and not over firm but we would have appreciated a second pillow each. The room air con was sufficient but ideally needed to be stronger especially as we stayed early summer when it wasn’t overly hot outside. Instant tea and coffee, two waters, two mugs and a kettle were provided but only a wooded stirrer - no spoons. Also we were only provided with paper cups in the bathroom; most hotels have glasses. The large tv could be altered so that programs etc made in English could be played in English.We did not eat in the hotel, we thought €19 each for continental breakfast was excessive and we paid less than a third of this each in nearby cafes. The outside terrace for the bar is excellent, stylish and cool however you obviously get a bit of noise from the adjacent busy main road - this did not detract from our enjoyment. There appears to be one main waiter for the bar and terrace - he was absolutely excellent and worthy of our praise and gratitude for his professionalism and friendship; he certainly made our time there more enjoyable. Also, the hotel bar prices are very competitive and cheaper than some city centre bars - about €8 for cocktails,very nice wine €5 per glass, G & T €10 and large glass of ice cold Turia beer €3.50.A flat walk in the main city centre was about 20 mins and flat, we also used the local metro station and a single fare to most tourist areas was about €2. Taxis and cycle hire are readily available nearby.Two minor points - firstly the 2 lifts are the slowest we have ever experienced (especially going up) and appeared to prioritise guests selecting the lift from floors as opposed to the floor selected by lift occupants. Secondly, as we only had a 2 night stay and went out on the second day we did not want the room ‘made up’ so left the do not disturb sign on the outside of our room door. When we returned to our room at 8 hours later at 5pm feeling extremely hot, sweaty and very tired housekeeping had decided to ignore our ‘do not disturb’ sign and were making up our room. Whist it’s great to have a clean room we were quite annoyed to have to wait 15 minutes while the room was cleaned against our wishes which included totally changing the bed sheets etc - we had only been there one night and, due to the heat, slept on top of the quilt. The lady from housekeeping was very apologetic but her efforts were not required or appreciated.Would we recommend this hotel - yes we would recommend it and we would go back. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful … even if a little too helpful at times. It is a very clean and comfortable hotel, the location is excellent for access and exploring Valencia and it’s spotlessly clean thought would benefit from a little TLC in the bed rooms.   Great breakfast and dinner, better than expected. Everything perfectly clean, nice staff all around. Small mini bar/fridge would be nice to have in a 4 stars hotel, so this would be the only remark.
