It is a shame, we booked directly at hotel website, and we choose because this hotel allows pets. On arrival, we travelled by car, the lady on duty immediately screamed that our dog was too big and the hotel won’t accept this. The lady was very rude and disrespectful. Their were no apologies or even a tip for another hotel in the area.
Guest Experience, Atención al cliente/recepción at Castilla Termal Olmedo, responded to this review
Dear Ms. Tsjakka,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.Unfortunately, your dog did not meet the requirements regarding the maximum allowed weight to stay at the hotel. Our pet-friendly policy permits dogs up to 25 kg, as rooms are specifically assigned to ensure that the space is sufficient and comfortable for all guests. When the dog exceeds this weight, unfortunately the stay is not possible. In addition, we must ensure that every guest at the hotel—whether traveling with pets or not—can enjoy their stay comfortably, and that guests with dogs and those without can coexist harmoniously during their stay. This information is sent in advance so that guests have the opportunity to review the conditions before their arrival. Our receptionist informed you of our dog-friendly policy upon arrival. She explained the situation in a polite and respectful manner, following our established guidelines. Our team is always committed to assisting our guests and resolving any situation that may arise. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.Kind regards,Eugenia SánchezGuest Experience ManagerCastilla Termal Olmedo

Not romantic
29 Jun 2025
To be honest I misjudged this hotel. First of all, I thought it was in the Ribera del Duero and though I think officially it is, in reality the surroundings are not the romantic wineries I was hoping for. The location of the hotel is also not too great. The hotel itself is also not really romantic, but quite business like. The dining room, for example, is not very cosy. Staff is correct but not really friendly. Yet, we had a good stay. The thermal bath is nice, the outside pool is big. The bed was comfortable, dinner was okay, breakfast nothing special but doable.

Excellent hotel

Castilla Termal Olmedo is an excellent option if you´re exploring the area. Located not far a main road, its access is quite easy, no need to bother entering the town, and there are lots of space for your car. It´s a old building, lately transformed in hotel, so the facilities still retain the charm of old: vast spaces, high ceilings... My room was quite big, everything was impeccable clean -bathroom included-, comfortable and modern, although the views weren´t nothing special. Beds were fantastic. There´s a garden and an outdoor swimming pool, but the main attraction is the spa, which is quite complete -although some jets are stronger than others-, most of it is indoors but there´s also a small space outside. Staff is very nice and professional. An ideal place for a breakout.

Execelent thermal bath

Beautiful almudeja thermal baths and variety of treatment for pleasure and relax. A great treat and experience. The service is 5*. We were so taken by Lourdes and her hospitality and explication of the thermal water. All the personel in the hotel was very helpful. The buffet breakfast with cava was great.

Very comfortable stay
19 Aug 2020
We had a great stay here, felt incredibly safe with all the COVID precautions in the hotel. The room was large with a huge and comfortable double bed. The bathroom was fully equipped with bath and shower. I would have liked stronger shower pressure but it wasn’t a big deal. Breakfast was very good and we ate in the cafe a couple of times for dinner. There are both indoor and outdoor pools. We only got to visit the indoor this time. Everyone is doing their best in difficult times. It was great to have a safe vacation break. Will happily stay here again.
