A great place for an overnight stop heading to or from Santander. Very welcoming and comfortable. Exceptionally nice, spacious and well equipped room. Pleasant bar area and excellent restaurant. Very close to the motorway and easy parking. Very good value. Highly recommended.

A pleasant stay in Tordesillas

We were on the road from portugal to the netherlands and wanted a nice stay in tordesillas. Well this hotel can give you everything and more to do that. Clean nice rooms lots of facilities like a saune and more. And the breakfast was really good.

We love Tordesillas and keep on returning. It is a quiet Parador, set in a pine wood with some gorgeous wild life in the wood. It must be one of the friendliest Paradors in Spain and we thoroghtly recommend it

First Stay at a Parador Hotel

We were on the road searching for a place to stay based on location, price and reviews. We found this Parador Hotel and I thought that the price was very reasonable for a Saturday night and I discovered that if I booked direct, I could join their loyalty scheme and breakfast would be free for the first booking. Once signed up, there were a few glitches when trying to pay but eventually it went through. The hotel is easy to find using Google Maps and parking is plentiful and easy surface parking, it is also included in the price. Check in was courteous and I was able to email them the breakfast voucher I had, As I had joined their Amigos scheme, I was also given a voucher for complimentary welcome drinks which was a nice surprise.The whole hotel seemed luxurious and although our room was a standard double, it was really lovely with two comfy chairs and a huge bathroom with a shower over the bath. There were nice touches such as complimentary water and local shortcake. The room contained a minibar and all the facilities you would need. The TV is an android TV so that you can cast from your tablet or phone, so we were able to watch our Amazon Prime. I had to get the Wifi code from reception as I hadn't realised it was on the TV homescreen. The Wifi was good.Later we went to the cafe/bar and had our free drinks (wine, beer and soft drinks included) and there was a food menu there too. It is good to have the option to eat early (rather than waiting for the restaurant to open). We only needed a light snack so I just ordered cheese and grapes. I had an additional glass of wine which was a reasonable price. The only negatives about the room is that the beds are quite hard and also I could not adjust the room temperature, despite being a cold winters day, the rooms were quite warm. The thermostat/controller did not seem to work. I wonder if the air conditioning works in the summer?In the morning there was a lovely breakfast served in the restaurant. There was an extensive continental buffet with everything you could wish for. They serve coffee to order and will also cook hot food such as scrambled egg to order. This was offered to us which was helpful as we did not know the system, We found all the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again, the ratio of quality to price was excellent. I think maybe if they could invest in some mattress toppers to slightly soften the beds, then I would rate this as a perfect place to stay.

A little disappointing

We have stayed here several times before as it’s a good place to stop before going on to Santander. Unfortunately this time we had issues with the bed linen which didn’t fit the bed therefore we became tangled up in it. We used the indoor pool but it wasn’t warm enough to stay in it for any length of time. The sauna and steam room, once heated up, were good.
