Location

This hotel lies near the most significant parts of the city, within a few metres of the Guggenheim Museum, the business and financial centre, the town hall and the historic centre. Bilbao's ria lies directly opposite the hotel, links to the public transport network are located directly in front of the hotel and a bus station, a railway station and shops may be found 1 km away.

Facility

A pleasant ambience awaits guests in 11 suites, 5 single rooms and 135 double rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     Fantastic location. Super close to the Guggenheim, but also an easy walk to everything else, too. Our room was quiet, a nice size (not too large, not too small), and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Patricia was especially helpful. One of our bags got lost during our flight. She made sure to bring it directly to our room when the airline delivered it. And she was so nice to talk with us about what she liked in Bilbao and shared stops we should check out on our way to A Coruña. This would be our first choice for where to stay if we ever return to Bilbao.

    Great location by the river and a short walk from both the Guggenheim and the old town. It´s quiet but rather central. The hotel doesn´t have a very unique feel but it´s quite nice. We used both the bar and vending machines which were quite nice to have. The breakfast was diverse with both hot and cold dishes, a few self serve coffee machines. Staff was all very pleasent. The rooms and public areas were tidy and well kept. Our room on the 4th floor was rather spatious and had a minibar with complimentary water, replenished every day. There was also a coffee maker and kettle with new coffee capsules every day. Overall not a fault to be found really.     Perfect for a stay when visiting Bilbao

    I stayed at the Hesperia Bilbao for 5 nights with my mum. From the minuet we got to the Hotel to the minuet we left, we were nothing but complimentary about the service from the staff and the hotel itself.On arrival, we were allowed to check in early, which was a bonus and then we were upgraded to 2 superior rooms with River Views and Balconies (which was a very nice surprise for both of us. The rooms were spacious and clean and have TV, Coffee pod machine, Kettle, Safe, toiletries, plenty of lights and sockets and the most comfy of beds. There is free Wifi throughout the hotel, which worked ok.The bathroom was clean and roomy and had a shower/ bath and nice big towels.We did not have any food at the Hotel (choosing to try the local cafe's/ bars), however did use the bar for a drink before going to bed. The bar was clean and spacious/ comfy and had a good selection of drinks at Hotel prices and the bar man was very friendly and helpful.We walked to the Old Town in approx 15-20mins. There is a bus stop about 150m down the road and if you cross the footbridge approx the same distance, there is a Tram stop, which goes to the Old Town, Guggenheim and metro stations etc. We were leant a Barik Card by the Hotel, which we topped up and only spend about 20Euro for both of us on the busses, Trams, Train, Transporter bridge and Metro (we used it to get to Bermeo on the Train and back on the bus).All in al, we had a great stay in Bilbao and this was definitely enhanced by choosing the Hotel. All the staff that we met, were friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to others.
