Location

This city and business hotel is situated in the municipality of Leioa. It lies on the right bank of the Ria inlet, in front of the Artaza Palace Royal Residence. Furthermore, the establishment is situated very close to the Basque Country University in an excellent residential and commercial area, which is home to a number of offices, shops and entertainment outlets. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel entrance, and the local subway station is only an 8-minute walk away. Getxo Sport Harbour and the beach are just a 10-minute walk away and Bilbao Airport is approximately 6.5 km from the accommodation.

Facility

The hotel has 114 rooms, including 12 suites, 16 studios, 12 single rooms and 71 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by 3 lifts. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock.     The hotel is OK, but their restaurant is closed from Friday to Sunday. The bar next door, to which they directed us, does not have food available in the evening. There is nowhere else close.     Plusses: It‘s clean, the breakfast is OK, the rooms are large, the beds not bad. Minuses: the hotel feels cheap, eg they don‘t hand out ironing boards; you should use the desk! Bus loads with tourists and a gogo bar across the street top it off.     Hotel in good location; restaurants and small market close walking distance - cost about 40eu for taxi to airport. Hotel staff all were friendly and helpful. Room was very warm when checked in, but cooled down for good sleeping at night.     We went on an organised trip with Rias. There was no bar. The food was less than mediocre and some items inedible, i.e. pork ribs. Cleanliness was poor. Room facilities totally impractical. Soap dispensers were totally useless. Certainly not worth 4 stars.     Overall very good. Lack of dining facilities at weekend disappointing. Reception staff particularly helpful in recommending an excellent restaurant for dinner although taxi cost €30.00 each way to city centre. Breakfast was good.
