  Filled a need for a one night stay

  Reception was efficient but with limited English – we’re not complaining, we are in Spain. We were shown to our room, 210, which sizewise and facilities was very good. The bathroom was spacious with good lighting and mirrors with a good shower. The 12 mile wide TV was typically only in Spanish with no international channels. We went down to the Reception and informed them the air conditioning was not working properly and the room was extremely hot. They explained to us, and we find this bizarre, that the hotel can only have the air con circulating on either hot or cold and at the moment because it is October it is stuck on hot. No help to us, we’ve never come across this in all our travels. However, we asked if he had any solution like a fan and he put a large floor standing fan in the room for our use and that resolved the situation. We did try opening the window to let some air in. However, our room was immediately above the fuel tanker station and garage and the diesel fumes were somewhat overpowering. We didn’t try the restaurant and it seems that nobody else was either. It was a bit on the expensive side we thought so we walked down the road and found a wonderful little tapas bar which was just what we needed. We didn’t have the breakfast but we did look into the dining area and for under 4 euros you could have had a basic coffee, orange juice, tapas type sandwich.

  Friendly and helpful staff, secure underground car park and a comfortable restaurant, (spanish menu only) make this a good hotel for a one night stop.Our sat-nav had trouble finding this hotel - it is actually directly above a petrol station at the entrance to the Ortuella trading estate (poligroño).Room was a little on the small side but the room and shower-room were clean and tidy, if on the expensive side at €76 per night.

  Smart efficient hotel

  Spent the night here on my way from Bilbao harbour to Madrid. I’m non Spanish speaking but reception understood my English. Check in simple. Lift to 2nd floor. Bedroom modern and simple. Good blackout curtains so room not overhot from sun. Cafe on ground level good good. Had to use my phone to translate the menu but no issue. Motorcycle parking in basement parking behind secure gates. A steep drop down the ramp into the garage but that’s the norm in these parts of Europe. Shower was good. Room clean. Staff friendly. I’ll be staying again.

  Cheap and Convenient for the Ferry

  Located on the entrance to a busy industrial estate, the hotel is part of a petrol station and oil distribution depot, and overlooks a skyline of apartment blocks that appear to be social housing. There is a secure underground car park, and other on site parking for tall vehicles. The reception and restaurant/ bar area are both busy, seemed to be lots of people milling about, with the obligatory knot of smokers gathered round the front door . The rooms and upstairs corridors are unexpectedly modern, and far better than the reception area. Good size room with comfortable double bed a good en suite and great shower. Tv with plenty of channels and fast , free Wi Fi, with a refreshingly simple log in !Breakfast was not available at the published time so apologies, but no review.As it turned out, a perfectly good hotel, if a little noisy. No worries about missing the Ferry ( an easy 10 minute drive through the back streets avoiding the morning congestion) as the oil tankers beneath my room started up well before 0630am, and were left idling for a while- a very good alarm clock...

  Fairly modern budget hotel

  Good value evening meal in the restaurant. Staff were helpful but their english was limited. About 20 minutes from Ferry but not in the centre of town. Seems to be in an industrial estate but no problems with noise on the night we stayed. Air conditioning in rooms was very efficient. Free underground parking was an unexpected bonus.
