This was one of the most tranquil and feeling of calm Paradors that we have ever stayed in... It is set with wonderful views, a friendly and helpful staff, Beautiful Rooms (we had a gorgeous Junior Suite with fantastic views).. The restaurant was excellent.. We would highly recommend this Parador, and we left with a sense of Calm, hoping to return one day

The location saved the day!

We were totally surprised at how lovely Pueblo Sanabria was, and all within 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Also our morning walk along the grassed area by river, to see the weir and salmon jumping was a great way to start the day. A drive to Sanabria Lake, great views and chiringuito on the water’s edge.But we hose the Parador mainly to visit the Iberian Wolf Centre, which was fabulous. So as you can see, location of the hotel was paramount. However, we arrived to find the room with a view we requested was not available and the room allocated was OK at best but didn’t appreciate looking out at concrete. Particularly as all the other Parador’s visited this trip had made sure we were not disappointed.It didn’t represent value for money.

In a good location, only let down by poor service in restaurant and bar, only standing out as far less service than in the 6 other Parador’s we stayed in over this vacation.

As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful, and service at the cafeteria/bar was fast. For a modern build parador our room was most definitely on the small side, and really not up to the usual standard. We booked with points, and despite the parador being less than half full, got put in what looked like the smallest room on the floor. Really, we could probably have found as good a room in an ordinary hotel at less than half the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Parador. Nice location to walk or drive up to the castle. We liked the room. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. They have a lot of parking spaces at no cost a few steps from the entrance. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant was very good. Excellent service from the staff. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
