    Excellent location, lovely hotel

    rating24 Sept 2025

Two night stay.Excellent location.Large, clean, bright and airy room with excellent air conditioning.Friendly and efficient staff.Only downsides were the lack of a safe and fridge in the room and the shower was very small. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Zaragoza.

Good way to deter tourists ..🍺

Dreadful room, bed square footage is more than remaining floor footage, no wardrobe and only 3 hangers for 2 adults staying 4nights ? Opened window onto another building I could almost touch .. no kettle, no glass. Never again ….

Location could not get any better!

    rating15 Jun 2025

Stayed here for one night in June 2025.Pros: 1) The highlight has to be the location. It is bang opposite to the Basilica. It is with in one minute walking distance to the Basilica, Cathedral, Roman Forum and the Stone Bridge. There are plenty of eating and shopping options nearby. The location alone warrants a five-star. 2) The front desk is manned 24 hours and the staff was courteous and helpful. The check-in/check-out process was efficient.3) The place is very quiet at night with great sleep quality. The place is very safe at night.4) The lobby, rooms and bathrooms were all quiet clean. 5) The room was of adequate size.6) The tariff was reasonable.7) The WIFI is free with great speed and connectivity.8) They stored our luggage for free after check out.Cons:1) You cannot drive to the hotel. It is a short walk away from the closest motorable road. So if you have heavy luggage, it will be a challenge to get to/from the hotel.2) Our room did not have a refrigerator. Stayed here for one night in June 2025.

Great hotel value for an amazing location

    rating09 May 2024

Hotel Pilar Plaza in Zaragoza offers a fantastic experience for those seeking a no-frills yet comfortable accommodation. The hotel's prime feature is its cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic stay for all guests. Its location is exceptional, placing visitors right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Zaragoza's charming streets and historical sites. The breakfast at Hotel Pilar Plaza is quite satisfying, with a good selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day right. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere of the hotel, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. In terms of value, this hotel is a real gem. It offers great amenities at a very reasonable cost, especially considering its location in a popular area. It's a solid choice for travelers who want to enjoy Zaragoza without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for its simplicity, comfort, and excellent value.

    Not Acceptable on any Level

    rating29 Dec 2023

The only redeeming factors are the location and convenience of parking structure. The rooms have no phone. No drinking water provided even on first day.Showering has to be done carefully as otherwise you will flood the room. Shame as water pressure is good. The whole building smelled like Indonesian chicken curry which is only nice when eating in an Indonesian restaurant. We looked at 3 rooms. Our original one required shouldering the door to get it open. Also, for some reason the wall mounted TV was literally almost at ceiling height and the view was obscured by a chandelier. The terrible room we took was the best option.Card keys routinely failed causing extra trips down to front desk.We were being charged over $100.00 Euro's per night for room worth $35.00. The good location makes up for nothing. There is not even a glass in the bathroom, just a small paper cup. This strikes me as a hotel that cannot afford to run itself and is ripping off tourists to stay afloat. We left a day early and thankfully the front desk didn't charge us for the full 3 nights we had booked. Thank you for that courtesy.
