The resort is situated on Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The long sunny beach at the edge of the turquoise blue sea and natural surroundings of lush vegetation maintain a balance with nature and make the resort a true getaway from the busy outside world and all its worries.

In addition to 20 villas/houses, guests can also choose from a selection of 8 suites and 32 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Kayaking is organised by third-party operators. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, badminton, darts and yoga. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, Ayurveda treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a dance club and a nightclub.

Wonderful Place and Lovely Staff

We had a wonderful experience at Maalu Maalu. We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary there and their surprise was wonderful. We could have a breathtaking view of Eastern Shore. This is One of the best hotels. The staff was outstanding. Food was delicious. Had a good variety. Special thanks to Chamara, Rajaah, Thazneem, and the Head Chef. They are lovely people.

This was our second time at Maalu Maalu the staff are always welcoming and attentive. Check in and check out is quick and easy. The hotels is always clean and the views are breathtaking. A driver picked us up from Batticaloa airport the driver was pleasant and the aircon was wonderful. The hotel is very well maintained and is the best hotel in Passikudah. Pavi, was a wonderful host he was very polite, and friendly and helped us with all our questions. Kanthi was very helpful and friendly and assisted us all the time. The chefs A.S Jayasinghe was very attentive and cooked us an amazing prawn curry. All the curries, egg hopers, omelettes, juices, the food was exceptional. The waiting staff Chandu and the young boy were amazing. The lady hostess was very attentive and always remembered our green tea. We would love to thank everyone that looked after us at this spectacular resort. We will be back again. Sri Lanka ???? makes our heart smile. The people and the beautiful country is why we keep returning. ?????More photos to come.

Paradise has been found

Paradise has been found. Stunning location and wonderful friendly helpful staff. Some think they don’t serve alcohol - they do. Pool was warm and so very clean. Family hotel. Spa treatments were amazing you get a full body massage. Yoga was incredible in the morning whilst listening to the waves. Food was good varied and plentiful. Complete relaxation - not much to do which is the point!!
