Lovely experience in a quiet corner of Sri Lanka.

The location was beautiful with access to a private beach and the local town either by bike or Tuk Tuk. The location of the hotel for excursions was more challenging with most requiring 2/3 hour drives. The excursions were undertook were certainly worth the drive. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff were fantastic and the quality of the rooms were certainly 5 star. The food was varied in style with most palates catered for and all of a very high quality at all times. The weather in early September was sunny and hot with no rain . All of our family were of the opinion that the holiday was unforgettable and a return would be easy to agree. Wonderful hotel, providing excellent facilities and staff, deserves this review!

What a wonderful hotel, what a wonderful holiday because of this hotel! We’ve been to Sri Lanka before, touring around the island staying at a total of seven hotels along the way. So we already know how lovely the Sri Lankan people are. This time we decided to spend the whole time at Sun Siyam, and are really pleased we did. From the welcoming arrival to reception (at 1am due to delayed flights) until our departure, we have been so well looked after. Every single member of staff seem to go above and beyond what is expected in their role. All are so courteous, while also providing their genuine cheerfulness as we know Sri Lankan people are so good at. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Special mention goes to Nimal. He drove us on day trips to Minneriya and Trincomalee and was amazing, providing far more than just a taxi service, he anticipated every stage of our days out, providing a personal touch, which was very special. He felt like family by the end of each day, what more could you ask? Superbly run hotel, deserves our five star review. Couldn't have had a better experience than what this hotel offered, everything from the food to the rooms and including the fellow employees there were nothing short of excellence. The view from the beach is insane especially during sunset. Would recommend everyone to give sun siyam a visit . GM Mr.Arshed was very helpful in making our stay worry-free.
