A perfect stay if you visit Kiruna!

    rating13 Mar 2026

Our family stays in Camp Ripan for 3 nights in early March. It was a incredible stay! We love almost everything there. The Aurora Spa is a must to visit! It gives so much fun to the whole family. My girls (age 3, 6, 9) were jumping into the ice pluge and laughed a lot (of course you need adults to assist!!!) . The coffee mask, the iron ore foot massage, the birch body scrub, everything we loved!!! The room is very nice for a family like ours. We stayed in a Chalet Giron. You have a double bed, bunk beds, a small but very well equipped kitchen, a sitting area and a Smart TV. The chalet space is not very big, it is a decent size for a short stay. If you have scheduled full day activities (and of course we did!!!) - the room size is not a big deal anymore. The bed is super comfy. Wifi is stable. Smart TV works as it should.Breakfast in Camp Ripan is something I dont want to miss! They present the breakfast in a very charming way! It is not a big buffet, but you get all luxury you will have! Smoked Salmon, local smoked reindeer sausage, smoothie, pancakes with local berries, organic eggs, yogurt, salad that grow in their own little green house, coffee and a selection of tea. Of course there are gluten free options for those who need. And what's more, one of the staff in the breakfast service, namely Stefan, who rocks!!! He remembers you, introduce you to the breakfast table if it was your first day for the breakfast. He takes coffee and , smoothie, juices and croissant to each table to see if you want some refill. When you see Stefan, you feel your morning is so full of energy and positive energy!!The reception staff Saga and Dennis were also very welcoming. I dont really know how I should describe them. But how they introduced Camp Ripan to you when you check in, how they greeted you when you just passed by the reception, how they said good bye to you when you check out.....their smiles just warmed you!Staying in Camp Ripan is not like a 5-star luxury experience, but a 5-star home-away-from-home experience! A small note is that if you want daily cleaning of your room, you must tell the reception. We dont mind (and indeed prefer) not daily cleaning. More environmental friendly, also our kids had toys all around.... On our 3rd morning we asked for cleaning because our youngest one still on diaper - and so the trash bin was full. The reception staff would ask if you also need to change towels and so. We did not need that. But a reminder for those who used to stay in a hotel with daily cleaning and towel/ bed linen changing - you need to remember talk to the reception. We really love our stay in Camp Ripan!!! Thank you! jana bjuhr, Gästservice/reception at Camp Ripan, responded to this review Oh, this is so noce to hear! Youa are so welcome back!

    Great visit

    rating22 Feb 2026

We ended our trip with a travel company here. It was lovely. The separate cabins are nice and it was great having extra room. We had a wonderful dinner in the dining room. The bar has interesting cocktails. It’s about a 10 minute drive into Kiruna, so be prepared to have a car or take a taxi. Breakfasts were filled with fresh local items. jana bjuhr, Gästservice/reception at Camp Ripan, responded to this review Hi there! We're so glad to see you enjoyed your visit. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Cheers, Your Friends at Camp Ripan

    A little piece of heaven

    rating21 Feb 2026

Well what a delightful way to spend the last 3 nights of our coach and rail tour. We have had days here and there in various hotels which have been a high standard but this little paradise is so different and a welcome change from impersonal hotels. The chalet is spotless (like everything in Norway and Sweden), warm, cosy and the underfloor heating in the shower room is very welcomed. We had a set meal last night as part of the group which was nice but I'm afraid I didn't take to the Arctic Char, my opinion only as I'm sure some people liked it. The breakfast this morning was brilliant. Great selection for everyone. Fresh bread, freshly cooked hot food, and the yogurt and blueberry smoothie was gorgeous. We went out last night to see the Aurora, which we did, but they appeared above the cabins so could have stayed here!!!!! The staff here are welcoming, happy to help, and take great pride in their surroundings. All in all, this has proved to be probably my favourite place to stay of our whole tour. We will hit the Aurora bar later, and still have two days left in this little heaven. Thank you jana bjuhr, Gästservice/reception at Camp Ripan, responded to this review Hi! Good hotel, but…

    rating11 Jan 2026

We stayed two nights at Kiruna Cabin and it was a good experience. The hotel is nice, with a good location. Breakfast with very few options. Great service in general but the lack of flexibility was a key point. Check out is at 11:00am and we asked to stay in the room until 11:15 ( only 15 minutes more ! ) and the lady at the reception was very inflexible and simply say “no”!It is a good way to show how a good experience can be easily partially destroyed. jana bjuhr, Gästservice/reception at Camp Ripan, responded to this review Good day! Thank you for being our guest and for providing such valuable feedback. We're committed to offering the best experience and your comments help us immensely. We will talk to the staff about this.
