This Stockholm hotel enjoys a convenient location downtown, close to the oldest open-air museum in the world. The Skansen Open-Air Museum is located on the island of Djurgården in the middle of Stockholm, and comes complete with a zoo, an aquarium, gardens and several annual festivals. Meanwhile, the Royal Ballet (Kungliga Baletten) and the Royal Opera (Kungliga Operan) are just minutes away from the accommodation.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 60 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. Short stay, luckily..

The rooms are very expensive for what you get.Small room with a kettle and a small noisy fan you cannot sleep with (no aircon).Dinner was included but I could not eat that weird stuff (and hardly any meat). Had to go to the restaurants which were luckily not very far away.All worthy attractions were quite far away, frequently had to take an Uber.Mixed feelings about the staff helpfulness.While I was there it felt like a retirement village was there as well, no young people. Well, it is a old, dated hotel so I guess it makes sense they feel at home there.At least the breakfast was good.They will never see me again. Amazing meals, friendly staff, great location

Rooms were comfy if small. I have never been in a city hotel that includes dinner and all the meals were wonderful. Among the best included breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Favorite of a long multi country trip. Location was convenient to get to museums and Gamla Stan. Staff were also super friendly. Would definitely stay again when visiting Stockholm.

Great Location, Comfort, and Homemade Meals

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel Wellington in Stockholm - it truly lived up to its motto, "your home until you are home". We really felt at home here, thanks to friendly and helpful staff, the excellent breakfast selection, homemade cakes for Swedish "fika", and delicious home-cooked dinners.Our room was clean and quiet, with a small balcony, and the hotel's location was super convenient - just a short walk form the Ostermalmstorg metro station and within walking distance of the museums on Djurgarden.We'd definitely return to this charming hotel!

Don’t miss Home Hotel Wellington!

We’ve been in the Baltic for 2 months and this hotel is one of the best!, It was quiet, they serve a great breakfast and dinner, and are incredibly helpful. We had a package shipped from Poland to Stockholm to Wellington; the front desk helped us set up delivery, and at check-in they told us they hadn’t received our package with suggestions about how to secure it. The room was also very comfortable with a great bed and pillows.

Great value for what you get

The location is just two blocks off main areas, which made it convenient but very quiet. The hotel provided breakfast, fika, and a simple dinner. I found this to be perfect, that I could enjoy lunch out, and have something small back at the hotel after long days of exploring. Room was very nice, mine not as small as some European rooms. The staff were always helpful and kind.
