    Be aware there are no elevators

    Very well located, short distance to excursions such as hop-on-hop-off stop, river boats etc. Quite good selection of restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, it is all vintage building. As much as it has its charm, there is no elevator. For us, fortunate was two rooms (nice) on the 1 floor, no need to walk the stairs. Should be clearly noticed when making reservation. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodated our needs without problem. Will stay there when in Stockholm again but make sure we gen 1-st floor room.

    Nice boutique hotel - but with no elevator

    The hotel has old-world charm and friendly front desk and breakfast staff. Location by the water is nice. However, note that there are no elevators - would have not booked if this was clear in the hotel’s website. We are situated in this beautiful and very old historical building with restricted possibilities to do any changes in the real estate due to the historical value of the building and hotel.     The majestic appearance on the historic publicity photograph is somewhat misleading: in reality this is a cozy 34 room establishment, over 100 years old in authentic Art Nouveau style. Very comfortable, clean and quiet rooms, some huge with view. (No elevator, but only one floor up on a red carpet staircase. ) VERY FRIENDLY staff. Good free breakfast. Great location, walking distance to the old city and fancy shopping area.     Booked two nights here and what an absolute delightful place to stay. Check in was no problem and all the staff were very attentive. This hotel is right on the waterfront and close to all the posh shops, bars and clubs. The hotel has an old world charm, breakfast was very good, our room was clean and tidy what more do you need?

    We were thrilled with our stay at the Hotel Esplanade. Staff was very gracious, breakfast display absolutely astounding. Make sure you book a superior or deluxe room, it truly makes ALL the difference in comfort and especially noise. The location of this hotel is simply incredible, central and walking distance to "everything." Prices (by Stockholm standards) were acceptable, with a nice Best Western discount. Would definitely return, Stockholm is a great and beautiful city, so rich in history, and this hotel made it all the better for us friends.
