  My friend and I recently had dinner at Scandic Skärholmen, and overall it was a very positive experience.The food was excellent, and the service provided by the waitress was outstanding. We do not usually choose fish dishes, but she recommended the daily special (“dagens”), and we are very glad we followed her suggestion. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste was just as impressive.I would also like to highlight the waitress’s dedication and professionalism. She was attentive, friendly, and worked extremely hard to ensure that all guests were taken care of.The reason I am providing this feedback is that it was noticeable how much responsibility she seemed to carry on her own. Throughout our visit, she was constantly moving between tables, taking orders, serving food, and clearing dishes. Meanwhile, it appeared that the reception staff were not assisting with restaurant operations, despite opportunities to support during busy periods.Having worked in hotel reception myself, I understand that departments have different responsibilities. However, strong teamwork between reception and restaurant staff can make a significant difference to both the guest experience and employee workload. Simple support such as clearing tables, delivering food, or assisting guests during peak times would have helped ease the pressure on the waitress and allowed her to provide an even higher level of service.This feedback is intended as a positive observation rather than a complaint. The waitress did an excellent job under demanding circumstances, and she deserves recognition for her efforts. I hope the hotel will continue to encourage cross-department cooperation so that both staff and guests can benefit from an even better experience.   Stayed here for 6 nights to recharge my batteries, midway through a road trip around Scandinavia.Friendly staff, especially Alina, George and others at breakfast. Makes a change seeing friendly Staff at breakfast.Very satisfied with my stay on the whole, with ample parking space in the hotel car park (perhaps it is low season?), although the carpets in the corridors need a bit of an upgrade.Well done Team, keep up the good work. Will definitely return when I am next in Stockholm..   Good gym with lot of equipment. Good and spacious sauna. Silent rooms and very comfy beds. I could come again.   Extremely hot and poor breakfast

  I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was extremely hot — around 30°C — and since our window faced a gas station and a busy bus street, keeping it open wasn’t an option due to the noise. The room was also very small and felt cramped.Cleanliness was clearly not a priority. There was a visible booger stuck to the bathroom door and pubic hair in the shower. Definitely not what you want to find when you check in.The check-in process took forever, with long waits and poor organization.Breakfast was another letdown. While the cold options were decent, the hot food was a disaster. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and tasted like rubber, the bacon seemed boiled rather than fried, and the meatballs were so pale I didn’t dare try them. The iced coffee ran out an hour before breakfast ended, and the apple juice was so diluted it was undrinkable. The orange juice was okay. The tomatoes were so mushy they were inedible.On the positive side, the bread was freshly baked and delicious, and the coffee was decent.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here — especially not in summer.
