This family-friendly city apartment hotel is located in the north-western area of the island of Kungsholmen, in central Stockholm. 143 studios, 2 single rooms and 143 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a currency exchange service and a cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Horrible hotel. Stayed for 2 nights and after the first day the first keycard stopped working. After the second day, both keycards stopped working and to top it off we ended up locked outside our room in the middle of the night. The app which was supposed to let us into our room didn’t work either so we were left stuck. After receiving help from a kind member of the public and contacting off site security he was able to reset our app which allowed us into the room. When contacting Vander customer service, a representative offered a measly 250SEK voucher for another stay with Vander as if I’d ever want to spend my money at another one of their hotels. Honestly stay FAR AWAY from Vander if you value good customer service.

    Had 2 nights there after arriving from Copenhagen .My room was fine and the breakfast was very good.The staff were very helpful

    Worst experience I've had at a hotel

    Recently had the misfortune at staying here and it was the worst hotel experience we have ever had.Several issues (thermostat stuck at 22c, uncomfortable beds, zero service) encountered but by far the worst was returning back to our room one evening only to be locked out of it. The doors require electronic key cards and the batteries on the door lock ran out. The apartments only have service staff between 9am-5pm so you have to call an emergency number to try and sort things out. One hour later (at midnight) and security were sent to the building to help but they don't have the equipment to remove the lock and replace the batteries. Which means we were locked out of our room where all our belongings (passport, cards, cash, luggage) were. We had to wait until someone from reception comes in the next day and has maintenance resolve the issue.They said this has never happened before but after searching reviews I can see this has happened at least twice in the past 12months and clearly are not bothered that it seems to keep happening. It is only lucky that we did not have our flight the next morning or it would have been missed although our bookings and plans for the next day were ruining. NO offer of compensation - will never stay here again and would advise no one else should

    Everything you need for a great stay

    The apartment was spacious and had everything that you need for a great stay. Shower was great and had a heated floor. Kitchen was very well equipped with a small selection of compliments tea bags and milk. In a tub next to the coffee machine you will find real coffee and this was enough for me for a weeks stay. King sized bed, corner sofa, large tv, and a decent sized wardrobe. Quiet location near two metro stations, bus stop outside and a supermarket within a two minute walk. Couple of restaurants near by and a cafe near the metro station that is great for breakfast. I would recommend buying a travel card for your stay. This gives you unlimited travel on the metro, trains, buses and ferries within Stockholm. Electric scooters are available outside the apartments and you pay for the time you use them. Price for this stay was very reasonable.

    A cozy home base in a quiet neighborhood

    The apartment was spotless and quiet. Everything worked. The price was right. The location was optimal as a large supermarket was a ten minute walk on Lindhagensgatan and two Tunelbana stations are a five minute walk away. The neighborhood is residential and commercial. You will see Swedes living their lives unlike in the downtown core.BUT one caveat is that you must be comfortable with technology and having no in-person service. You open doors with an app. You do laundry with an app. There is no reception to speak of. We didn’t mind given the quality of the lodging and price point. You will save a fortune not eating out every meal in Stockholm. BTW, the Thai restaurant at the southern end of Lindhagensgatan is superb for eat in and take-out. Also take a walk on Norr Malarstrand in the direction of the Rådhuset when you get a chance. The nature in this city is stunning.
