Facility

The hotel was built in 1867. The hotel has 6 suites, 13 single rooms and 47 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee).     Everything we needed for our 4 day Christmas sort break

    Convenient hotel for out stay to visit the Christmas markets. Ideal having the trams and the main train station just outside the hotel. Travel on the trams is free and we were given a card by the hotel reception to confirm this. Staff really helpful and knowledgeable when asking questions

    We stayed two days as an extension before our river cruise with friends. An architecturally interesting older hotel (named after a famous locally born scientist) but with nice upgrades and amenities. The bathroom was updated with nice fixtures, the bedding was new and very comfortable, and I appreciated the in-room espresso. We were on the fourth floor and it was quiet. Personnel were all friendly and helpful. The location is great for getting on the local trams and trains and restaurants within easy and safe walking distance. I didn’t see any US electrical outlets in the room (not surprising) so bring your converter plugs. Breakfast buffet had many options and was good.

    We were welcomed by a lovely, helpful guy on reception and were able to check into our room early. Fantastic location but very quiet ( if you dont open the window!) . The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, the carpet and furnishings however, could do with a freshen up.Breakfast was amazing !!! Recommend !     Brilliant from start to finish.Receptionist on arrival was very helpful.Room was quiet, comfortable.Breakfast was great more than enough choice. The staff worked hard.The young lady in the breakfast room and the young man on bar and food duty were lovely, friendly and hard working.Perfect location for the bus to and from the airport, trams to and from the hotel to the centre, and the train station, all in all a pleasurable exoerience. Would definately stay again. Highly recomnend.

    Perfect location for the station and all the trams which we made full use of with the guest card issued by the hotel. We were in a deluxe room which I would say was a little on the small side and probably due an update. We were at the back of the hotel which meant it was very quiet but just had a view of a flat roof. Comfortable overnight stay and would stay again.
