Terrible meal
13 Jun 2026
Went for a meal with a party and had a terrible experience, service was unbelievably slow and some people had finished before others had their meals. Food was cold and worse than a school dinner, wine was expensive and we left before the sweet was served and went to Burger King!

Booking sorted - phew!
30 May 2026
We had booked nearly a year ago as part of a longer trip and when we arrived they did not have a reservation for us. Antonio on the desk was very helpful, sorted it all, explaining their computer system had been updated. We had a very good stay. Great base hotel
07 Feb 2026
We went to Basel for a few days with our teenage boys. Hotel was great location wise. You can get a bus free from the airport and it drops you outside the train station which is opposite the hotel. We had a good sized family room, clean and modern . The hotel gave us a pass which gets you 50% off museums and the zoo and also free tram travel.Breakfast was included and was a really good choice. While there the tourist centre at the train station helped us plan a trip to the Rhine Falls which was so easy to do with their help. Well worth the trip. Food wise I would suggest the Markthalle food market, walking distance from the hotel and we could each choose different cuisines we liked and then find a table together. Also worked out more cost effective!! Nicolas Rimelin, Owner at Hotel Victoria, responded to this review Dear Louby100Thank you for the great review of our hotel! Hotel with a vintage touch
03 Jan 2026
Hotel is secured and need to tap in after certain timing during peak period. Hotel has wonderful beds and is quiet and can give us a restful holiday. Hotel is also near convenience store and fast food restaurants. The hotel’s restaurant is also staffed with wonderful staff who offer hospitable services and make our stay a pleasant one. Best reception staff
07 Dec 2025
I would like to talk to you about one of your employees,at the reception whose name is Rasid.I qm a tour leader ,and I was there with group of tourists.I travel all my life going from hotel to hotel, but I never met somebody being so professional,so efficient,so kind and friendly. It seemed there was a problem with reservation system,we were missing one room ,not hotel's fault at all.Though he realised that it was third's part mistake and responsibility,he did impossible trying to find a solution ,more than an hour,he was on the phone ,checking the system...and he helped me get the room for my guests. Not to mention, that hotel is very good ,clean ,breakfast sensetional!I do hope that the management of the hotel is aware of the quality of their employee Rasid.
