Location

This luxury hotel is centrally located just 50 m from the nearest bars and 200 m from a selection of shops. Basel SBB train station is about 5 minutes away.

Facility

206 rooms, including 7 junior suites, suites, 133 single rooms and 64 double rooms, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Disappointing stay with poor room conditions and no real VIP recognition

    As a loyal and frequent Radisson guest, with great experiences in most all of their hotels, I found this stay very disappointing. The hotel did not provide the expected VIP membership benefits did not allow earlier check-in even though they where not busy, and initially placed me in a substandard room that was extremely hot and clearly not in proper working condition. The AC was failing, dirty and very noisy, the TV was broken and the fridge was not working either.Only after maintenance confirmed that the room was not usable and advised that I should be moved, I was transferred to a properly functioning room. This was especially disappointing because the website showed that plenty of rooms were still available.Even after this, the hotel still did not offer an upgrade to the highest available room category, although this is one of the main VIP benefits. Overall, this did not feel like the level of recognition or service recovery I would expect as a loyal high frequent guest.     A/C did not cool the room. We reported it and response was immediate but ineffective.The room stayed too hot to sleep in.Very disappointed. I have never paid so much for a room that was so uncomfortable.
