    Clean, modern hotel. The room was quiet and quite comfortable, and provided a darkened sleeping experience. Enjoyed the shower and breakfast. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. The Basel Card offering free local transportation was a nice bonus.

    We found The Passage to be a lovely spot to land for a couple of nights. It was extremely clean; the staff was very friendly and also very helpful with requests and making suggestions. The breakfasts were excellent! It was quiet in our room. Everything was just as it should be! I always hesitate to make reservations, believing that the photos and reviews are . . . contrived. The Passage lived up to the photos and reviews. It was especially nice to be offered upgrades prior to our visit.     We were warmly welcomed by the front office, who did an amazing job—special thanks to Jasmenika for being so welcoming. All staff, even during the night shift, were outstanding.The hotel is extremely clean, both in the hallways and in the rooms. The shower was an amazing experience—very powerful and satisfying. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.I’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels, but this one was exceptional in both hospitality and cleanliness.     Contemporary hotel in Basel with excellent service and easy access to SBB Station and city center

    Located along a busy road but set back with some space between the traffic and the building, the modern hotel with a contemporary feel still felt calm and pleasant. Our ground‑floor room faced the patio and was very quiet, even with the window open at night.The room and bathroom were spacious and spotless. The hotel is within walking distance of Basel SBB railway station. There is also a bus from the station to the hotel (one stop, the ride takes about four minutes and the buses run frequently). The city center is also easily reachable on foot.The staff were very friendly and helpful.I can warmly recommend this hotel.
