Location

This five-storey hotel is set 300 m from Lake Geneva and 1 km from St Pierre Cathedral. A range of links to the public transport and national rail network can be found within a 2-minute walk of the hotel. There are plenty of shops and night bars in the middle of the red light district. The United Nations building is just a 10-minute walk away, as is the Red Cross Museum, and the old town can be reached within 5 minutes.

Facility

8 single rooms and 56 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. A variety of shops are available, including a souvenir shop. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Complimentary newspapers are available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. A safe and a desk are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor pool area guarantees comfortable swimming. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including a gym, a spa, a sauna and hiking.

    Saved by the staff! And a lovely stay as a result.

    We booked through Agoda and regretted it. We paid over $460 (USD) per night because there was some sort of convention in Geneva. We were promised (by Agoda) a room with 2 beds, or a bed and sofa bed. We arrived and were put in a very nice, but tiny, room with one bed, no room for our luggage and no door to the toilet and tiny shower. I went back to reception and said it wouldn't work for me and my son. The manager could have easily said "Too bad" (think Expedia) but he and the receptionist worked hard to find us something that would work. Agoda does this to them all the time apparently. They found us a little suite with a bed and fold out bed. The shower door was broken but we disnt care. It was so nice, quiet and lovely. Thank you Hotel 9Paquis! Especially Alexi and Angie.

    Very nice hotel. Very nice location. Very convinient. Located near restaurants, the lake, the train station, and shopping locations.     Mixed feeling about this hotel. Location is very central but near the red light district (if it can even be called district in Geneva), overall OKish but may not be ideal for everyone.The common areas in the hotel are nice, including the swimming pool (very rare in Geneva). However, the room was a disappointment, very small (and we had the suite) and dirty.     The elevator didn't work on the first day, and the room wasn't cleaned up the second day, but the staff did their best to help us and gave us a 15% refund for the poor service.     Good location and facilities but lack of hospitality

    Good location of the hotel and loved the facilities but the reception staff is just doing their work without any motivation I think. Maybe they are burned out, not sure. If you checkout and the only 2 sentences they say is ‘there is a city tax to pay and bye’, I think they need to get some hospitality lessons. You can also say ‘I hope you enjoyed your stay, please let us know when you would visit again and we’ll gladly welcome you again’. Also when your guests enter the building, not even noticing you and saying hello,.. nothing. For me these little things are normal and happen at other hotels. But this hotel lacks the hospitality/motivation sadly.Regards.
