This hotel is only 5 min from the UN building and other prominent international organisations, whilst a bus stop is located some 600 m away. The beach, river, nightclubs, bars and the tourist area of Geneva are roughly a ten-minute walk away. Various sights including the impressive water fountains (2 km) and the historical Old Town (3 km) are situated in the immediate vicinity. Countless shops are only approximately 1 km away whilst the transfer to the airport takes approximately 10 min.

Facility

7 suites, 5 apartments, 10 single rooms and 30 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The apartment hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Location of hotel is good out of the city centre but 10 minutes tram ride away from the lake, all public transport is free once you pay your city tax via the hotelAtmosphere being quiet and relaxingRooms were adequate, both my SIL and our room air conditioning weren’t working, when asked for this to be fixed a small fan was put in place. shower worked well, mattress was firm pillows were very soft. Safe in place and hairdryer and iron/small ironing board also. Ceiling in room had flaky/peeling paint and chips on the bathroom counter.This is more of a two star hotel so don’t expect anything fancy.We felt the hotel was generally clean and noise levels were acceptable from outside street.Staff were courteous, very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area and gave a great recommendation for local cuisine. Breakfast was OK, good continental choice, however streaky bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs were mostly on the cooler side. Option of boiled eggs via a water bath was available but no instructions on timings. Toaster was shocking, takes at least 10 minutes for a slight colour to appear but makes the bread very dry and crispy. Lots of fresh bread and drinks widely available. Tracy

Great for a weekend in Geneva if you are out and about - quiet place to rest after a busy day

Perfectly friendly reception team who will do all they can to help. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Basic however just what you need for a city visit. Breakfast was limited and I suggest not having the hot options. Tram stop is close by which is perfect as you get a free travel pass. Not much dining options on the doorstep however only a 20 min walk into the main city or jump on a tram. Geneva itself is great but as everyone knows…. a bit expensive.

Hotel is quite a walk from the lakeshore but the hotel gave us a travel pass which meant I could travel free from the airport to the hotel and any bus or tram travel required in Geneva . It was inc as you pay a city tax. Bedroom was very clean and comfy. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was disappointing with hot food being cold and very poor quality gluten free bread offered.

Stayed at the Hotel Genève by Fassbind for a weekend break in Geneva. Its location is good as it’s a short journey from the airport via bus or Tram and near the Servette tram stop which takes you down to the lake. Upon arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly, and stored our bags as we were early and our room was not ready. The receptionist issued our tourist travel passes which allows you to use Buses, tramps and water buses.Upon entering our room there was a foisty odor in the room, so we opened the windows to vent, we also found a half eaten packet of crisps in the cupboard and half a bar of chocolate it the fridge, the room did look dated and the bathroom door could do with being modernised. The bed was large and comfortable, but the furniture could maybe benefit from being replaced. Due to the bathroom smell we had to leave the window open for the entire duration.I have stayed in better hotels that have fewer stars, and would say that this hotel would be more suited as a 2 to 3 star hotel.

A fantastic Hotel on the edge of Geneva with the tram only a short walk away which takes you into central Geneva in minutes. Very clean hotel & good breakfast. Special thanks to staff member Anass who was friendly, informative and ensured our stay was special.
